Golfer Reviews
Great Wee Course
Great wee course. Not too challenging but a few long tricky par 3's. Not a particularly long course with no par fives playing off the yellow tees. Course was in excellent conditions and the greens especially. Not too busy either and could play at our own pace. Really enjoyed our round and would definitely play here again. Everybody in the clubhouse were very friendly and welcoming. Had a bite to eat after our round which was good value. Our 3 ball took a little over 3 hours.
Callender golf club
We enjoyed the course, weather was great dry , small clubhouse and friendly staff
Abdolute pleasure
This was the second time my brother and I played the course, having played it last year. This is probably my favourite course I've played in Scotland. The state of the course is top notch, obviously the green keepers are very diligent. The views and set up are a pure delight and I would thoroughly recommend it.
A struggling club
The former clubhouse lies vacant and unkempt adjacent to the 1st tee giving a poor impression. The course is naturally a wet location which on my view is a negative. Many of the holes are samey and uninspiring. The receptionist could do with putting a smile on her face.
Callander
Greens and tees in poor condition
Great Course
Really enjoyed playing Callander. Staff were really friendly. Course was really good some really testing holes and long par 3’s. Course was in good condition.
Reception
Upon arrival, met with a lady who was unhelpful, disinterested and appeared to take great delight in advising us that there were no kitchen facilities! She, and some members who were going on before us, were less than friendly and did not exhibit the usual welcome you expect as a visitor to a strange course.
I will not be going back there!
Fun course with challenging greens.
We play here quite often due to my in-laws owning a caravan in Callander. The value at just over £1 per hole (after 4pm) cannot be beaten if you are just wanting a quick hit.
Be prepared for your ball to take some unbelievable bounces on the fairway and to roll off the back of the 'upside down bowl' greens after hitting the middle of it from space... but that's golf eh?
A well-maintained country course with variety and challenges
Another fabulous round at Callander, I always look for an offer, I should be a member maybe next year. Meeting golfers from across the Central region who come here despite distance and time and its easy to see why.
Possibly the best course in Scotland
What a fabulous course. Extremely scenic, very well laid out and beautifully maintained. An absolute pleasure to play. Will definitely be back.
What a fantastic course
Was in great condition and staff so helpful and friendly.
Highly recommend
Nice Course
Nice course layout and views, some tricky little holes. Greens weren’t in the best condition but this was likely due to the extended period of dry and warm weather. Signage to get to course/clubhouse could do with being placed a bit higher out of the long grass.
