Diamond in the Rough…!!!

Rancho Vista is a great spot for a round of golf! Beautiful views, a fun and challenging layout, and a welcoming atmosphere. A great place to enjoy the day and grab a bite after your round. It’s truly a hidden gem. Love the new restaurant and bar upgrades.

Pace of play

Due to aeration/sanding in process, we were instructed to play the front nine twice. On the second nine, we caught up to two foursomes of girls (high school) playing competitive matches. That’s two foursomes, all walking with push carts in competition. After the first three holes, we skipped the next four holes and played the final two holes. I don’t think there is any way to know in advance if this experience will recur. I had the same experience the week before at Sand Canyon GC. But I really enjoy Rancho Vista so it’s worth it.

Overview

Greens were good and were fast. Everyone that was a regular that I talked with said heavy winds from west to east after noon is everyday. They were right. Half the course you will play with the wind and half the course you will play against the wind. Get a tee time early and you may not have this issue.
