Amazing Pro/ Staff
Just recently moved to the area and was looking for a new home course , was a bit apprehensive being a nonmember with some of the reviews here and elsewhere, nonetheless walked in and Trent at the front desk/ manager of the course was so welcoming , friendly and put me at ease . Was a nice experience overall with a fair course especially with the recent so cal weather conditions , course will likely be immaculate by May. Overall an exceptional experience due to Trent ! Thank you
AVCC
Trent is a friendly and caring person who always goes out of his ways to provide the best service for his members. Thank you Trent for being an excellent leader and a great person.
Shaffi
Good solid course
The Greens are fast and kept well…but the course fairways are dried up and almost water hazards.
I would still play it again ….though so not that bad
It’s a country club but some times are available for non membership
Terrible condition + cart pass only
I understand the grass is dormant, but the overall course condition was terrible - there were dirt and just ground all over the fairways. What I don't understand is today was cart path only. Was it to protect dirt and ground on fairways? I paid only $49 including cart and small bucket of range balls, but this was not even worth of $40+ price. I gave 2 stars because of a friendly staff at the club house.
Antelope Country
My experience at AVCC was just great and I will surely come back during my next visit.
The course was great
Great staff (Trent and Garrett) were very helpful and professional. The course was great. Just can wait to see what it looks like after winter conditions. Great overall
Probably a fun course to play
The greens were punitive. Probably 14 Stimp on some greens. A lot of putts rolled of the greens and wouldn't settle. Flag positions were mostly put on of crested of the greens. Greenskeeper must have mad with someone 😆.
Fairways were dormant. No problem with that. Too many dirt patches.
I'd like to play this course on summer fall or spring.
AV Country Club - Open to the Public
Course conditions aren’t the best because the grass in the fairway is dormant but still playable. Greens were good and were super fast. It is cart path only right now so that slowed play just a little bit.
They cut down some trees and you can see they are making landscaping changes. Should look great in the Spring.
Staff as very friendly and accommodating…..
Winter took a toll on the course. The greens were in good shape although quite hard.
Not worth it
The pictures look nothing like the course. The fairway grass was completely dry, not even yellowish/green but rather beige . The course layout is messy. Tee boxes had too many divots. Is not worth the 50-60$ price they ask. Unless you live nearby is not worth the drive
Staff were great and very friendly. Course conditions were very poor. Overpriced for $72.
Had a great round
Good course layout. Price is right. Went during dormant season so fairway were not great. I will go back in the summer
Nice AV Course
Played AVCC for the first time with a couple of members who were extremely nice; telling about the nuances of the course and the layout. The greens were exceptionally nice. The layout was very good; challenging but fair. You do get penalized for wayward shots, by either being OB, having to chip out , or adding extra distance. Fairways were in fair condition as the course is killing old grass in preparation for one type of grass for the spring. All in all this is a nice, fair course, in which they allow the public to play at various times. Was worth the drive and I plan to play again in the Spring when it is plush and green. I am sure it will be beautiful!
I like the difficulty of the greens.
I would definitely recommend this course. I had a great time.
Great place only 40 min north of the SCV
I really had a great time playing this course. The course Pro was very nice and made sure to give tips and welcomed us to the course. Greens are comparable to Angeles National at a third of the price! I am definitely going back to this course 3 or 4 times a year. A bit too far from the SCV to be a member but a great value. The bunkers could use a little more sand as there were a few rocks in there but overall a great place to play.
