Fun day / amazing staff
We had a wonderful experience at the club thanks to an outstanding team. The starters kept things organized and welcoming, the rangers maintained pace of play with friendliness and professionalism, the cart girls were attentive and upbeat, and the bag check staff were courteous and efficient from arrival to departure.
Every team member clearly takes pride in delivering a first-class experience. Their professionalism and hospitality made our day even better. Thank you all for making each visit such a pleasure!
Considering how hot it was today, makes our experience even more remarkable! Thank you!
Continuously improving-but go private already!
The course continues to improve from the old Sea Oaks. But by allowing anyone to play it, you invite people who don’t dress appropriately, take forever to play a round and do very little to maintain the course (the amount of unprepared fairway divots and green marks was ridiculous. Also while the food and service of the grill was great, again, because anyone can walk in, we were seated next to two guys with flip flops and cut off tees. LBI National should be better than that-and so should be the true members that join. I would in a heartbeat if it was private. Doing the annual “membership” offers little real value. Truly could be the best golf club in the area-already better than Blue Heron and Seaview Pines.
Great Day
Perfect weather, course was playable even after the last few months of cold winter weather, some very challenging holes/shots, would come back.
Soggy
Golf course played excellent after rain and the recent heavy snows. Unfortunate that clubhouse , pro shop, and bar restaurant are closed
Jason W
Course was in great shape after all the snow in the last few weeks….all bunkers were raked and pinestraw around trees was all neatly raked
Winter golf conditions
I bit ragged even for winter golf. Fairways and greens in need of repair.
Conditions have really deteriorated compared to several years ago.
Rather disappointing because this is a great routing, but the conditions really drag it down.
Nice course all around
All aspects well above average, nice people, course in good shape, some challenging holes missed with some easy holes.
Snails pace
Started out as a twosome caught up to twosome in front of us on the seventh hole and after that waited on every shot on every hole at one point, there were five groups on one hole, namely, the 10th. called the pro shop. They sent somebody out there, but nothing was accomplished. Took five hours to play around a golf and it was frustrating as all he’ll. never again.
One of the best
This course was laid out perfectly. It was extremely comparable to courses that I played in north and South Carolina and even in Arizona the greens were in excellent shape given this time of the year and the course played beautifully. This is going to be one course that I will definitely play again.
Excellent Experience
I usually play this course in the Spring and Fall due to price and it is less crowded. I was thoroughly impressed by the course. The course was manicured and meticulously landscaped. The tees, fairways and greens are in perfect condition. This is the top public course in Ocean County. The best attribute is the layout. No parallel fairways so each hole is not shared with other less accomplished golfers. The design is challenging for both a novice and experienced golfer. I walked the course and there is plenty of shade in the fairways which made the experience even better on a warmer day. I recommend this course and encourage more golfers to walk a course like LBI National.
Very interesting course with complex holes and in good condition
Played for the first time here. Was an interesting course layout that offered a good challenge while not being overwhelming. There are some spots which could be improved for conditions, but paying GolfNow rates, it was wonderful.
Not Worth the Money Currently
I would be extremely upset if I paid full price to pay this course (booked a hot deal) because almost every single hole had terrible bare spots on both the fairways and greens. The greens were atrocious and consistently bounced even with good rolls because you would constantly put through divots and bare spots. I don’t get how they hiked up the green fees from a few years ago and now the course is in a worse condition
The course is back to quality playing conditions.
I played LBI over the summer and was looking a little beat up with the summer weather. Played again Monday and it's back to what I'm used to. Will be back.
