At £21 on a hot deal the course is excellent value for money. The course was in good condition, if not drying out a little which is not surprising given the recent hot, dry spells.

Our only gripe was with the layout. There are some long walks between some greens and the next tees and while there are next tee signs dotted around, in some cases they weren’t that helpful in directing us to the tee we needed.

So on a hot day, some of the green to tee hikes made the course a bit of a slog.

I’m not sure I would be rushing back to play here, but would i recommend the course to others? Absolutely.

The course is cracking value for money £21 each and had the place almost to ourselves. Staff were friendly and the course in good condition, if not drying out a little which is hardly a surprise given the extreme heat over the last x weeks

The only criticism is the layout. There are some long walks between some greens and the next tees and while there are ‘next tee’ markers, some like those coming off 16 and 17 are confusing. The order of some holes, particularly 3/4/5 was odd too.

So while the course was in good condition and great value, we found it a bit of a slog to walk round and navigate.

I'm from South Wales, but I've never heard of CyM golf course. I'm so glad I've played it today.

It's a beautifully kept, well designed and challenging course.

It's got a great mix of short and long holes, with greens that are fabulous any time of year, but coming off the hottest days in June ever, is proper astonishing!

Fantastic course, very well maintained, friendly welcoming staff. Lovely bar and food, priced well.

Greens were in amazing condition. Huge difference between fairway/rough, really penalised for missing fairway.

Quite a confusing layoff with tee boxes crossing fairways.

3 ball in front of us were slow as balls so a 4 hr round (3 ball)

This is quite an hilly undulating course but is Immaculately presented with many memorable holes - I especially enjoyed the front 9 for the variety. Several of the holes on the back 9 overlap with Tee areas adjacent to each other so care is required but directions are in place to keep you on track. The club bar is excellent and special mention to all staff and greenkeepers who were super friendly and very helpful. Look forward to returning soon.

My fourth visit here and the course was in excellent condition. Only problem was a few very slow players ahead which caused a few issues. Definitely back again soon.

Course is a challenge with alot of elevation changes on the front 9. Back 9 is a long parkland challenge.

Greens were in immaculate condition as were the bunkers.

Had a local club four‑ball behind us and another visitor in front. The lads behind — one of whom was clearly auditioning for “top Golfer of the Year” — decided we were all playing too slowly. Told us to speed up, even though the senior ladies in front (from his own club!) were moving at the speed of a gentle Tuesday stroll in buggies that looked like they were powered by AA batteries from 1998.

Naturally, we did as asked.

Naturally, the club four‑ball behind didn’t bother pushing themselves or speeding up.

Naturally, it became obvious what they really wanted: a completely empty golf course so they could pretend they were on the PGA Tour instead of hacking it around on a Friday.

I’m a regular golfer who often plays with a large group. We won’t be going back there. I honestly thought this old school nonsense was behind us. Seems some clubs are determined to keep the old draconian style alive and kicking.

My fourth visit here to this delightful course. As the heading suggests an awful lot of rain of late but nevertheless course playable even allowed trolley much to my surprise. Obviously some major groundwork’s under way which ruled out holes 12, 15 and 16 but still a very enjoyable round.

An interesting corse that provides challenges.

A more technical hilly front 9 followed by a back 9 requiring accuracy and distance. Course was picturesque and in excellent condition. Great value for money

Staff were super friendly even called me up prior to playing to inform me they were dressing the greens so the course wasn't to their standards. I thought the course was in good nick considering the call in the morning. They even gave me a voucher for another round, as an apology. 100% would play there again lovely course & staff
