Bridges - The Masters at Firewheel Golf of Garland
About
Firewheel Golf Park boasts a total of 63 championship holes. There are three regulation courses: the Bridges, the Lakes, and the Old Course, which boast enough variety to appeal to a wide range of skill levels from novices to pros. The 27-hole Bridges Course even offers three more 18-hole combinations. The layout is comprised of three different nines: the Masters, the Champions, and the Traditions that can be mixed and matched for a different round every time you play at Firewheel. Throughout the course, golfers will face strategically placed bunkers and there are tall oak and pecan trees all along the sculpted fairways. Spring Creek and Rowlett Creek also weave across the landscape, coming into play on several holes. The Masters is the longest of the three nines at 3,553 yards from the back tees.

REFUND COUPON PLEASE.
RAIN MADE US NOT EVEN STARTING GOLF. STAFF SAID THAT GOLF NOW WOULD REPLACE TEE TIME WITHOUT ANY MORE PAYMENT. GOLF PASS GAVE ME CASH REFUND BUT $20 COUPON WAS GONE EITH THE WIND.
Great course
Always a good round at the bridges course. Only complaint is it doesn’t drain well and they tend to overwater sometimes. Other than that fun, fast, and well kept.
Pure "Emerald" Pleasure
Every year I like to play a new course in DFW. I am simply a muni player and have heard of the Firewheel Golf Park for many, many years. Finally had the chance to play and did not regret it one bit. We played the Bridges course on the Champions and Masters Nines (they have 27 holes). An older man working the parking lot gave us some tips for getting around. The course was in great condition. Emerald green everywhere from the lush tree-lined fairways and well-groomed greens. Found the elevated greens and deep bunkers challenging, yet enjoyable.
Afterwards we had our thirsts quenched and hunger sated with friendly and even funny staff.
Excellent Condition
Course was in excellent condition, greens are really nice. Go play!
A Great First Round at The Bridges Course
This was my first round at The Bridges, and overall it was one of the better municipal golf experiences I’ve had in the DFW area. The facilities were excellent, including the driving range, short game area, and practice putting greens, all of which were in great shape. The tee boxes and fairways were also very well maintained.
The greens rolled extremely well and were some of the better greens I’ve played on recently. The fairways provided a good challenge and made the course both fun and rewarding to play. I was also pleasantly surprised by how scenic the course was, especially with the creek running alongside portions of the Masters course.
Our round was a combination of the Champions and Masters courses, with Champions playing as the front nine and Masters as the back nine. The course conditions, layout, and overall experience made it feel well worth the price.
The only minor downside was the pace of play, which was a little slow at around five hours for the round. Outside of that, it was a fantastic experience.
Great course after the rain
Course is always in good shape. I was surprised to see it in great shape after raining yesterday. Greens putted true and pace of play was good but. 4 hour round.
Nice Course
Everything was good about the round, except the pace of play was a little slow… It was not very crowded but groups in front of us were very slow
Nice layout
Champions course has a few
Adjacent holes so watch out for other hackers or play a yellow ball. Overall nice condition and good value.
great staff
Especially staff Michael is so kind and friendly.
Solid
ConditIons were good even with the previous days rain.
This used to be a gem
Mgmt. has become way to complacent when it comes proper upkeep. Tee boxes - both white and blue - were deplorable: littered with broken tees and little to no sod. Many green fronts are nothing but mush because of water leaks of over a year. Last, sand traps should be labeled 'ground under repair' - horribly maintained and rakes nowhere to be found.
Nice course in good shape
I played the Champions and Masters nines, and both were tough but fair. The courses are not super long, but the layout makes it hard to just blast away. I played with 3 others in slightly over 4 hours, and we didn't have to wait except on a few holes.
