About
Teal Bend Golf Club runs alongside the Sacramento River, enjoying a lush landscape covered in natural wetlands. One of the characteristics the course is known for is its stunning scenery, which works against the challenging layout by being almost too distracting. All of your attention will have to be focused on successfully maneuvering past the mature trees and natural rough areas that sit along the edges of the undulating greens and narrow, winding fairways. Long hitters will enjoy this golf course, which stretches to 7,000 yards from the back tees. There are also some interesting risk/reward holes that will appeal to both low and high handicappers, which is why it is one of Sacramento's most popular public courses. The well maintained driving range is also a popular feature at Teal Bend Golf Club.

**Teal Bend Golf Club — 4/5 Stars**
Teal Bend is a fun track worth adding to your rotation — just throw a few extra balls in the bag before you head out. The course is in great shape, the scenery is easy on the eyes, and the layout keeps things interesting without feeling unfair. Well, mostly unfair.
If you've got a pull or a slice, the rough is going to become your best friend. I lost a few myself, and hole 9 will humble you fast — there's a big pond sitting right of the fairway that's basically a magnet if you can't carry 200-plus yards or keep it straight off the tee.
Pace-wise, we finished around the 4.5-hour mark, which is what they suggest — but we definitely had to dial it in after realizing we were an hour deep and only on hole 3. A couple breakfast balls may or may not have been involved. No judgment.
Overall, it's a great time if you go in with the right expectations. Play it for the fun of it, enjoy the views, and don't take the water hazards personally.

Disappointing
Ok course, OK condition….spoilt by having to wait every shot, spoke with the Marshall and he was not intereseted…..will never go back.
Better than expected
Played 90° rule on all fairways. Course played exceptionally well conditions were great. The whites sand in the bunkers were really nice to play out of
Winter Golf
Course was in pretty good condition for this time of year. Greens were a little fast. Good to get out a get some golf in. Pace of play was just about right.

Great course into play in the Sacramento area. A well designed golf course that is always in good shape.
SLOW
Course is in beautiful condition but they got to let people know there is a tournament on the course. Pace of play was 5 1/2 hours, or at least give huge discounts. Course is beautiful.

Beautiful course
This is a great course in a great location. My only complaint was the greens being pitted with marks that made putting even trickier . I'll be back!
Great course, with plenty of challenge for a hacker
Played very early in the morning with my brother in law (7HCP) and played off Blue tees. Probably a bit long for my level (22HCP). Next time will play white tees. That extra 20-40y would be helpful for approach shots! Fairways in pretty good condition for this stage of summer (late August). Greens a bit too soft - probably because so early and watered overnight - even 20y chips were leaving plugs!!
The mosquitoes were INSANE first thing in the morning, but cleared once became lighter and warmer. Take repellent if you're playing early or late!! It was my first round at Teal Bend, but I'll be back!
Good conditions & layout
Always love playing Teal. Great staff. Nice snack place. The course is usually in good conditions. Usually a good fairway lie & the greens are always fast & true and in great conditions. They finally moved the practice tees on the driving range (grass btw), so you don't stand in holes & had grass to hit off of (thanks guys!). Excellent practice green (2 of them) & incredible bunker facility. Just a great place to practice & have a good round. Can't wait to return.
Great course, good conditions
Love playing Teal Bend. Usually good conditions and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable & professional. Conditions today were good, but the greens were excellent. I hit a couple bunkers, one was nice & fluffy, one a bit hard but although raked nicely (be sure to dig your feet in to check). But can't wait to get back & play it again.
