Waterview Golf Club
About
Rowlett’s first course has been laid out over a flat range of pasture, supplemented by 15 acres of lakes and over 1,000 new trees. Designed to be hacker friendly, the lack of mature trees provide an especially generous look and feel, tempting the mid-level handicapper to tee it up from the 7,191 yard tips and go long off the tee. Bent greens are the highlight of the round here–they roll true and provide solid opportunities to snake in a few long putts.
Getting there : Off of I-30 exit Dalrock Rd. and drive north through Hwy. 66. A half-mile past 66 veer left on Princeton, which dead-ends at Liberty Grove. Turn right into the Waterview division and take Waterview Pkwy. to the clubhouse

Waterview is Fair Value
Fun course to play. Hopefully they get the redone driving range open soon. The bunkers are not good. A VERY thin layer of sand on top of "concrete". Talk about bounce from your sand wedge!! Otherwise, easy to book early tee times for reasonable greens fee ($55).
Nice course was good even after all the rain
We had a fantastic time on the course. It was a very nice course, and we were expecting a lot of water due to the heavy rain. However, the course was very playable, and we had a great day.
Not even worth the $50 Golf Now Hot Deal
Way over priced, very tall grass making it very easy to loose your ball on a good shot. They charge an extra $50 just to have someone ride with you who’s not even playing. Had to wait 30 minutes past my tee time to get a cart. Not worth it what so ever. $35 course at most.
Excellent course and excellent deal
The course is layed out great. Fairways are immaculate except for a very few areas that has collected a little water from the rains. All of the greens are in super shape except for #18 which was heavily sanded.
I would recommended this course to anyone and will definitely play it again.
Par for the course
It’s pretty typical of Waterview these days, packing the course in tight, slow pace of play, sub par just above duck creek conditions. Greens are somehow too hard for a ball mark but slow as putting on carpet. Bunkers in good shape, fairways have improved over the last 3-6 months I will give them that. It’s a decent cheap round with a good hot dog at the turn.
Good but new some improvement
Staff was nice. Course was soggy but playable. Definitely some draining challenges but fairways were pretty clear of water. Greens were hard but somewhat receptive. Fairways were in decent shape. Bunkers were a little thin with sand. Tee boxes were beat up. Dead patches were few but better than normal. Rough was taller than expected like the course swallowed golf balls. Other than that course was decent. I would return but after playing other courses.
Great Course
I haven't played here in about a year. I wish I could play here weekly. I will be back very soon. Everything was A+
Okay but could be a little better
I enjoyed playing pace and the people. The greens were great but the rough should be cut.
Staff
Younger staff was excellent seems like manager was a little bit unfriendly club rental was high but did get excellent clubs and top of line would go again
Another great round
Waterview is my favorite course. I always seem to do well here on at least 1 hole for birdie or birdie chance. Had about 7 pars yesterday, which was a great round for me. I just have to remember the good holes and forget the bad ones to make it enjoyable. Course is in good condition. Was hot and humid on a Monday, but also rather empty (hot Monday), so I was able to play quickly. Bartender was nice, friendly, and quick. Use the Golf Now Hot deal combined with a monthly tee time credit, but spent more on beer, hot dogs, and PowerAde. :)
Not worth the price
The course was not in the best shape and for 80$ a person I feel like I can just go to other nicer establishments.
Playable but not in good condition
Just aerated both greens and fairways. Course in poor condition. Greens were ok. Needed to rent clubs for my partner and they charged $75
The fairways and rough need work for sure. The former are cut super tight tand are rock hard - virtually impossible for any divot and zero forgiveness if hit a little fat. The latter needs to be cut and has too many overgrown weeds (but cutting more important)
If this course $50 or $60 on a Sunday? Sure. $80 with no bev cart (that I saw)? Nope.
Oh yeah - I saw a sign that said a rider fee on weekends is $50. FIFTY!!!
