I rented clubs and the clubs were dirty and old. The bag appeared to be falling apart. The 2nd shot at the driving range, the driver's head flew off. Poor condition for rental clubs and it was $65 for the rentals - for the condition they were in, they should've been free. Greens were nice, but the bunkers seemed unkempt. Beer cart ladies sit in the cart next to a tree instead of driving around. No water fountains on the course or restrooms (have to wait for the turn). Only part I enjoyed was being paired with a couple of guys that were fun to play with, but I wouldn't play this course again.

Staff was friendly. Purchased thru Golf Now. Early evening teee time. Course layout was very good and and challenging. I visited San Antonio and played there 3 times. I did not want to pay and extreme amount of green fees. I enjoyed my time there.

My only suggestion is that it would have been nice to know that driving range doesn’t open until 12:00 on Wednesday

There’s a couple bad greens still (that are very playable) and the other greens are back to the mid/upper quality I expect there. They’ve also mulched a bunch of thicket that used to line hole 11 and 12. Honestly I hate it and you can’t even hit out of it because the brush wasnt even mulched finely. The stuff they left behind is so bulky it will not break down anytime soon. Sure seems like a poor use of funds. Yes the carts are trash too but over all it was good enough to be back on my regular schedule.

Was excited to play this because I’ve heard so much good about it. Show up, staff was rude, given a broken cart and when I reported it to the desk, told me “deal with it, other people do”. So we move onto play….. How do you make a 80 yd par 3? Worst decision to do. Greens were choppy and not maintained. No cart girls to be seen for days. Not an enjoyable time at all. Won’t be back. Golf club of Texas….now that’s a standard I appreciate

This course would be perfect for me as it is minutes from my home. However, it continues to disappoint. I haven't played here for three years but decided this spring to give it a try again. First, they don't have any drinking water on the golf course. Second, the first time I played almost half the greens were damaged to the point you couldn't putt. This improved as the weather has warmed but something is wrong with their maintenance. Two of the greens had some type of ground hornet digging nests and I found hornets in the hole more than once while retrieving my ball. I will say the fairways are pretty decent on the front nine but they continue to let tree growth/shade erode several of the back nine fairways. Finally, they charge a price that is equivalent to some of the better courses in San Antonio while delivering a low tier golf and customer service experience. I would tell travelers to play La Cantera, The Quarry or Canyon Springs. This is sad because this could be a very good golf course to play.

Great course to work on your accuracy and course management skills.

While playing by myself last Friday June 19th at 310 , I Was passed up on the first whole by a husband and wife to join there three friends on the second tee box. Front office did very little help after I called and asked if 5 soms were allowed. Fast forward two holes that Said couple proceeds to threaten to beat me up on the fourth hole after I asked them if they had thrown my ball in the woods on hole 3. Silverhorn doesn’t care about its customers and has become a joke. Just go to La cantera.

It should not take 3.5 hrs to pkay 9 holes. I’ve never completed a round under 6 hrs there. Last time I’m going back.
