Greens were under repair but course was in great shape as usual

Ok so I saw the part that they were aerifying, but for $32 and a week after the initial punch, I didn’t mind it at all! But I didn’t know there were 7 temporary greens in front of existing ones. We are talking about a big circle mown close…..not an actual putting surface. There is new sod areas you need to avoid(lots of them), but even those are a necessary evil. They need to remove a few trees for future grass growth or they’ll be residing again soon. Typical slow round waiting on every shot after three holes, but that’s just typical as this is a tough course, cart paths only and lots of beginners trying to find thier ball. I give the course props for doing what it needs doing and the staff may have changed somewhat cause the service was top notch Georgia friendly…….they had Srixon soft feels for $17.76 a dozen too!! I used to hate the thought of going to Cobblestone to play even though I love the actual golf course. My experience Thursday afternoon gave me new hope and a new desire to come play this great course again! For newbies just keep in mind that this is a very tough test of golf……play your proper tee box! I’m a single digit senior but played the white tees since I played with a up and coming freshman getting started! We had a blast!

Greens where recovering but play quite well. Can't wait to play here again. Proshop staff is awesome!

The course is starting to look really nice. I gave a 3 on condition due to temporary greens in most of the holes. I know course was being aerated, but the temporary greens were all in mud puddles.

5 hour round, the groups in front were playing so poorly we were forced to play the holes out of order. 1-9, 12-18, 10 and 11 to finish. The people I played with were also incredibly rude. It was my birthday round and I left very unhappy sadly. It may be a while before we come back

Recently sanded, but I knew about it ahead of time.

Price was fine, seemed as if it was cheaper than last time prob due to sanding so price was adjusted.

Great course tight fairways with risk reward greens

Course is currently very sparse both on fairways and greens. Most greens are at least 40-50% dirt. I would think that this is prime growing season? Pace of play was good because I played alone shortly after a rainy morning. That’s not generally the case.

Half the greens are absolute garbage. 2 or 3 I’d say are unplayable.

Lots of ground under repair in the fairways too. It hasn’t rained in weeks yet it’s still cart path only for half the course?

GPS screen didn’t work at all either.

We played early so pace was good. No one in front of us so we finished in 3.5 hours.

I wouldn’t return until the greens get some major help and/or they cut the price in half.

This course has gone downhill over the past year and a half. The greens keep deteriorating beyond repair, the fairways are going in the same direction. The overall condition of the course is less than desirable, which is a shame because it has tons of potential. Not coming back here, much better options at pretty much the same price point in the area.

There’s hardly any grass on the greens for it being April.. and I mean just weeds basically. Better off playing a $30 par 3 course.

Charging $70 for a weekday round is insane, not to mention a twilight $50 9 holes on the weekend. Cannot recommend for anyone

Greens are in awful shape, plus almost 3 hours to play 9 holes.

The green conditions should be listed on Golfnow so people can decide whether to play. I have been playing this course 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years. Never seen greens in such bad conditions. Hole 1, I don't think there was a single square inch of grass. Many others have some sort of disease. Some have crab grass growing. I hope they can control whatever problem is consuming the greens soon. A couple of marshalls aplogoized about the conditions. Lovely course but I would not play again if greens don't improve and someone controls the pace of play.

Second time playing here and had a great time despite my poor play. The staff is very friendly, the conditions were great, and the clubhouse food was really good. My only complaint is that some of the greens were in rough shape, but will definetly be coming back to play.
