Greens are lost
It is a course that needs alot of work, the greens are lost, not puttable. Don't waste your money.
Course conditions are awful
Unfortunately this course is in terrible conditions. Atleast 6 temporary greens. Weeds littering the fairways. It appears the owners have given up in terms of restoring the course. Unless I had a free round, wouldn’t play this course again
Would have waited
I registered on Golf Now. Normally there is "warning" when there are issues with a course. Valhalla "lost" their greens about a month ago, and it seems they just let the course go. It's unfortunate enough to have some temporary greens (and the rest in bad shape), but that's not an excuse to not mow the rough to normal conditions, or the tee boxes. Hit your ball just off the fairway into the first cut, and good luck finding it.
The sad thing was that if I had NOT booked and paid on Golf Now, the man in the proshop would have given us a discount on the round.
He then said he'd give us a rain check after we play, but when I asked about it, we were told that it wouldn't be a "formal raincheck", but that he would just give it to us.
No way we're going to drive two hours to take that chance.
Valhalla
All greens dead with temp greens on four holes that are just short cut fairway. Paid $49 and was way too much. Honestly should be closed until they get it fixed. Not worth $20 a round. The course should have posted just how bad it is before hand. All I got as I was paying my money at check in was “we have some issues with the greens”. Major understatement!!
Don’t waste your money
Almost all greens are dead or is poor shape. Was given a small discount ($12) when I arrived but the statement “ we are having a few issues with our greens” is the understatement of the century. There were 4 temp greens as well. Not worth the $49 I was ultimately charged. There should be a post in lint on their website and on Golf now. Worst course conditions ever encountered. Shameful honestly.
NO GREENS
The greens are non existent on this course. Not sure what happened to them but they arw the worst greens I've ever seen. Most of the time you are putting on dirt and sand and through springs of crab grass. Don't waste your time or money on this course. You have been warned!!!
More grass in the rough than on the greens
The layout was really cool but the greens were the worst I’ve seen at any course in my life. They were equal parts weeds, sand and concrete-like dirt. You never knew which way your ball was going to roll. The staff was friendly and warned us about the greens when we checked in but by that time it was too late.
They have let the course go. Greens were dead. Terrible conditions
Greens are garbage!!!
These were the worst greens I’ve ever seen! Will never spend another dollar here.
Potential
Nice course layout in horrible condition. Kids screaming at you on the first fairway to initiate your round. Most tee boxes not in use because of a jungle between them and the fairway.
Slow greens
The course is good but the driving off tease is intimidating because they are often driving through a shoot in the landing area is somewhat generous but standing on the tee is daunting. The greens are very very slow. They are in good shape but you have to crunch your putts which throws off your putting rhythm. Fairways and tees are, in general, good shape.
Fun mountain course
My son and I enjoyed the mountain course, every hole was a challenge. Course was in good shape and the greens were in good condition. Would recommend the time to enjoy this beautiful course and little town
Poor Course Conditions and Disappointing Service
This was probably the worst golf course I have ever played. The overall condition of the course was terrible and clearly neglected. The fairways were full of large bare spots, dirt, and rocks, and there were many areas with overgrown grass and vegetation that looked like they had not been maintained in a long time.
One of the most frustrating parts was the lack of basic amenities. There were no water coolers anywhere on the course, which is unacceptable, especially during warm weather. When we asked for range balls, the staff member told us they did not have any bagged up and suggested we go out and pick up balls ourselves from the range. That level of service was extremely disappointing.
Between the poor course conditions and the unprofessional customer service, this was not an enjoyable experience at all. I would not recommend this course to anyone.
Great layout but fairways not the best. Greens good but slow
Not great but still fun to play
Nice layout and views. Very tight fairways, only need a driver on about 4 holes even from the black tees. Greens were really slow and fairways were really bare
