Most of the greens have poanna but are still good. Subtle breaks. And several quirky holes add to the interst.

This course is serious mountain style courae. Yardage plays much longer than stated dur to elevations. Mwny dog-leg holes. Crabgrass was a bit intenae on many greens: but understandable afyer all the hugh hrat amd rain recently. But overall a good challenging course that will require multiple attempts to get it right.

This course has changed ownership/management. The couse is in good condition with the exception of some of the greens. There is some type of weed overtaking about half the greens. There are some tight holes on this course, but also some fun memorable holes. There was an issue with using a Golfmoose promotional voucher, so be sure that you mention that when booking the tee time, if you are using golfmoose.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kingwood Golf Club – An Underrated Gem

Kingwood Golf Club absolutely exceeded our expectations. The course was extremely well maintained from tee box to green. The tee boxes were in excellent shape with very few divots, the fairways were beautifully kept, and even the rough and areas approaching the tree lines were well manicured.

The greens were phenomenal—smooth, consistent, and with a great roll. Very few noticeable ball marks or heavy divots. You could tell the grounds crew takes pride in this course; we saw them throughout the day maintaining and watering the course to keep everything in great condition.

The scenery is another thing that really sets Kingwood apart. The views from the tee boxes, elevation changes, trees, and surrounding North Georgia mountains make for a beautiful round of golf. Some holes will definitely challenge you—especially if you're an average golfer like me—but the course is still enjoyable and playable. It's the kind of place where you can have a great time regardless of what the scorecard says.

I also can't say enough good things about the staff. Everyone we dealt with, both inside and outside, was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. Of course, they have rules like any golf course, but within those rules they did everything they could to make sure we had a great experience.

One small thing that really stood out was the water setup. Inside they had a cooler absolutely full of ice alongside a five-gallon water dispenser, with Styrofoam cups available so you could load up on ice and water before heading onto the course—and you could come back for more whenever you needed it. On a warm summer day, that's a simple touch that makes a huge difference. I filled one before we started, and when I came back in after the round, one of the ladies on staff actually filled my last cup with ice and water for me. That kind of hospitality sticks with you.

We also got extremely lucky because a lot of people apparently canceled their tee times expecting rain. Instead, we had an absolutely gorgeous day—around 74° when we started, partly cloudy, with a high around 87°. It felt like we had this beautiful course almost to ourselves.

Kingwood is very underrated. If you're looking for a well-maintained, scenic course that's a little off the beaten path, with a staff that makes you feel welcome, this is a great place to spend a day golfing with family or friends.

Beautiful holes and scenery. A couple crazy holes. However a good test of accuracy.

I played here many years ago and got back out today. The fairways and rough are in good condition for the most part. Traps were raked. The greens however are being invaded by some weeds which made for very inconsistent, slow, and bumpy conditions. There is no driving range at the course, only a putting green. Overall, the layout is good but the greens were not as expected given the price point of the round.

The course has a great layout with plenty of variety and keeps you engaged throughout the round. The greens were in excellent shape overall and rolled true, although they were a bit slower than I expected. The mountain setting makes for a beautiful round, and the course is very visually appealing. I'd definitely come back and play here again.

Greens kinda slow because they are bentgrass and we played in heat of summer. Although the greens were a little slow, they were in excellent condition. Course looked good, it was pretty nice. A few goofy golf holes is my only real complaint. I would definitely come back.

I had seen this course and resort advertised for years. Pictures online looked nice. We gave it a try for a weekend. It was raining all weekend but the course handled it well. It wasn’t muddy. Just wet. The young lady running the guest checkin and golf shop was exceptional. She managed a lot of things all at once and with a smile. Everything just needs an update. It could be such a wonderful place. Truly. Just a little like going back in time. Love the layout of the course for a mountain course. Give it a try!!!

The greens were mostly in good condition a few rough spots growing out.

Fairways trimmed nicely but still dry from weather conditions.

Course was in good shape. Greens too, but slow

as they were wetting them all day. Very few golfers on the course. Not sure why other than maybe very little local golfers. We drove 45 minutes. Suspect weekend traffic will be much higher. Beverage cart was great & available. Until around 4:00. Restaurant food & service was really good - burger & fries. Tight course so the driver stayed in the bag most of the day. No driving range. Will definitely be back.

Course is not in very good condition, especially the greens. They are thin in spots and very bumpy. Not worth the price they charge when the greens are that bad.

It was my first time playing here on my way up to Cherokee for a work event. I was impressed with the layout and challenges of elevation changes. I will for sure try to play it again.
