Achasta Golf Club

Love playing Achasta. Beautiful, challenging and fun course. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Great food as well. Highly recommend playing Achasta!

Good course, pretty forgiving, fairways are wide open, kind of like a resort course, hard to miss off of tee. A couple par 3s are tight and a couple of par 4s have long iron shot in. A carry on number 15 is silly, but I heard it’s because over the years, erosion has widened the hazard in the middle of the fairway and made it much wider than it was originally intended. Fairways are in great shape, bunkers likewise, tee boxes perfect but greens were still recovering so putting was difficult. Number 18 is great finishing hole with water all along the fairway.

I am not sure why many think the course is scenic with north Georgia Mountain View’s. It’s a flat course without panoramic views of surrounding mountains. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a well taken care of, nice course, I believe North Georgia college golf team practices there. But this is not a golf course with unmatched mountain vistas. Overall good value if you can find a reasonable discounted rate.

Cart folks and the starter were nice, beverage person came around twice on a hot day. An enjoyable day at an enjoyable course, even if you struggle off the tee.

Nice course, but seem to be a little behind on maintenance.

Some tee boxes need more grass

Loved the course. Great layout- Some of the greens have alot ball marks- so putting was little challenging. Some of tee boxes needed some attention. for 20 year old course. just needs more work done. Very challenging, so be on your A game. Very scenic. Would play there again.

This course is semi-private and occasionally opens up for public play. I suggest that you play this course if you get the chance. This in great shape and greens roll true. If I were looking to join somewhere it would be here in a skinny minute!

The course is great but the rough on most of the course including near greens needed mowing. It was at least 4 inches thick and made it difficult to find balls. Could have been because rapid growth and rain.

Solid course with many challenging caries. Several fairways had serious issues. Ditto with the cart path and direction signs.

Great course, staff is first class and excellent maintenance.

Always a great place to play, but I thought the Pro Shop should have told us holes 2 & 3 were closed due to some type of maintenance.

Regardless, would have still played it.
