Palms at Palm-Aire Country Club
About
The Palms Golf Course is a tract that locals and visitors alike just love to play. Originally designed by William Mitchell in 1962, the Palms was completely renovated by Karl Litton and Lorie Viola in 1996.
The accommodating fairways make it easier to hit your tee shots in play. Once on the 'dance floor', the Bermuda greens roll true and quick.
The Palms Course has a number of picturesque water hazards. As its name would indicate, the Palms features lovely native Palm trees throughout the course.
It is most definitely a true Florida golf course and one, which everybody should put on their 'must play' list .

Course is a disaster
Everything is overgrown, the layout of the course makes no sense, pace of play was brutal, overall just in awful shape and should max cost $40 to play 18.
sadly, when a course has no grass
Tee Boxes, Fairways, Rough around the greens all as bad as I ever paid to play!
Split the fairway and look 15 - 20 yards for grass,
Greens are OK, if they lose them they will nothing.
Sad, as it was a great course as little as 6 years ago.
This course has no value at any cost, they need a complete resod.
Cheap course, plays cheap
I didn’t even book a time just showed up and went out when I wanted on a Friday afternoon. $55 for 18 and a bucket of balls beforehand.
Staff is very friendly especially the starter Friday at 4pm.
I got through a round in like 3 hours.
Played well but was not rewarded by the course for good shots.
In the first cut, well there is none. In the fairway, maybe probably not fairway quality. Points of the course I couldn’t tell what was fairway or rough or sand. Actually. Greens were in great shape though!
Great value, Decent course
I play PalmAire (Palms) often. The course has a great layout and the Staff is always friendly. I will say over the last year the condition of the course has deteriorated. I understand it's a very busy course and it's hard to maintain. The greens are in pretty good shape, it's the fairways that need some TLC. Overall it is a good course and for the value you can't beat it.
Staff Great …Course not so
Staff were very friendly and helpful but the course needs a lot of work on the tees which were mostly barren. Greens were average. Pace of play was riculuous as a foursome ahead of us held us (2 some) and a number of parties behind us up for the round starting on hole 1. Multiple holes open in front of them but never let us pass.
Need Work
This course needs help. Nice layout but fairways have v very little grass unless it is crabgrass. Tee box mostly sand. The greens were fine. Pace of play was slow. I played the Cypress two days before and it was in much better condition. Owners invest some money in this course and make it great again.
OVER PRICED / OVER LOOKED
I don’t usually leave reviews, but the condition of this course is honestly unacceptable. The fairways are in terrible shape, with large dead patches, dirt spots, and barely any consistent grass coverage. It feels more like hitting off a worn-out field than an actual golf course.
Around the greens isn’t any better. The turf is uneven, thin, and full of bare spots, which makes it impossible to get any kind of consistent lie. You’re basically guessing how the ball is going to react every time. For a place that’s supposed to be maintained for golf, this is really disappointing.
Even basic areas like cart paths and surrounding grounds look neglected, with sand, debris, and worn-out edges everywhere. It just gives off the impression that upkeep is not a priority at all.
Overall, this course is nowhere near the standard it should be.
Nice course
My boyfriend and I came to this course after a cruise and really had a great time. The course was in excellent shape. I would recommend it to anyone who chooses to play here.
