Don't find yourself in here, on a par 3 on the back 9! Photo submitted by stratsville on 04/13/2013
Great course, crazy club rentals
I enjoyed the course very much. Layout is great, and it’s fun. Greens rolled very well- not a slow resort feel…rather they rolled like a private club that puts work into their greens. That said- the rental clubs were outrageous. They have several sets of nice rental clubs, Srixon mostly, and it’s a racket. The rentals were $64.00!! That’s more than I paid for the round through Golf Now. If you’re playing with your own clubs, definitely go - it’s great. If you’re renting, you’ve been warned.
A Good Golf Course at a Fair Price
The course is fairly difficult and the greens are in great condition
Course in great shape
The course was is good condition and the greens were immaculate. Especially noteworthy considering the extended drought in the area. Greens are quick and challenging enough. The starter was quite gruff but the rest of the staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience.
Exceeded our expectations
First time playing at Palm Aire, we played the Cyprus course and found the greens to be well maintained. The layout was simply in the fairways, but sand around the greens made for difficult green shots. Fun course. We will be returning.
Expensive for the quality
Nice course but should be less expensive.
Some green need repairs
Fairways are ok
ClubLink does not care about the golfer
I’m honestly really disappointed. Palm Aire Country Club used to have it all—great views, friendly staff, and a quality golf experience. Unfortunately, it feels like this place has completely lost its way.
The day started off rough with a cold “what do you want” from the pro shop. Look, everyone has an off day, so I can let that slide—but it didn’t get better from there.
It’s pretty clear that GolfLink (the current ownership) is more focused on squeezing revenue than maintaining the course. The 5-minute tee times should’ve been the first red flag. The course was backed up all day, turning what should be a relaxing round into a 5+ hour grind.
Condition-wise, it’s in terrible shape. There’s barely any grass left in spots—good drives are punished with sandy lies, and the fairways feel neglected. On top of that, there are ant piles everywhere. I didn’t even realize my ball landed in one until my chip shot sent fire ants all over me. That’s been a fun 24 hours since…
And all of this for $75? That’s tough to justify.
It’s a shame to see how far this place has fallen. Safe to say, I won’t be coming back.
Flexible
Great course for the money. Greens are decent and the fairways not bad. A few rough spots here and there. There’s a bit of a desert in a few spots but if you’re in the fairway then it’s not an issue. My biggest complaint is the paper straws for your drinks . Come on , get rid of those it’s does no one any good .. liberals !
Nice course but not in good shape.
The course is a good layout and a very nice course. However course conditions were not good. The fairways and rough had patches of grass mixed in with sand. The greens were good and the speed was good. I played the Palms course a few days earlier and it was in very good shape.
Good track
Ok conditions. Pace was slow as the course is filled with a variety of player abilities who don’t understand ready golf.
Oaks
Fairways and greens in pretty good shape. Unfortunately GPS has not worked for three and a half years - someday they'll get around to updating their data.
Course review
This golf course is in TERRIBLE shape and shouldn’t cost more than &30 for a round of golf even in high season. Fairways are horrible, car paths are in need of major repair and t boxes are mostly dirt. There are non golfers out on the course just walking around the can with their dogs. It’s ridiculous. All 3 Palm Aire courses are in terrible shape.
