Great course to play!
I usually play the Cypress course, but my friend and I decided to play the Oaks course and we loved it. Nice wide fairways to keep things moving, the greens are large and fairly flat, but we’ll protected. I really like the layout with just enough challenges to keep you on your toes during your round. We did play on a Monday, and it was pretty empty, so we could enjoy the course. I look forward to playing there again soon.
Course conditions
The golf course is in terrible condition. I realize that it gets a tremendous amount of play but it is missing grass compared to the amount of weeds. Can’t find a good lie in the fairways . The Greens are in better shape then the rest of the course so that’s a positive.
Decent Course for the Money
Overall this is an average course but good value for the money compared to other courses. The layout of the course is a bit confusing but the holes are fairly straight forward. I played the Cypress the day before and prefer that layout. The greens were in decent shape and the fairways were mostly ok. The tee boxes need work. They have fairly small greens, so accuracy in correct distance are key. The pace of play was slow but still to be expected this time of year in FL. The drink cart does not take credit cards, so bring cash if you want anything!
Decent condition
Nice layout, some difficult holes with water all around. Greens in good shape, Fairways needed TLC
Nice experience
I played this course for the 1st time.
Overall nice layout, good greens, nice variety of holes, good condition.
Nice mix of long and short holes, straight, right, and left shaping.
Greens had many ball marks, but due to lots of play.
Ok for 1st time. Played Cypress course on Tuesday
Sad
Would never return.. Curt and indifferent cashier
Started blew us off cause we wanted to check in 35 min early. Carts should be scrapped. And they are in short supply. Course is tired from so much play. No sand on the carts to fix divots. 4.5 hr round. No Marshall's.
A work in progress
I reserved a tee time for a 3 some and enjoyed every moment. I'm sure these things your aware of and working on.
Unfortunately, there was a lot of work going on throughout the course. [although, this did not interfere much with our play. Also noticed most of the tee boxes were still being worked on and markers were misplaced, along with stakes and ropes tossed in bushes. Not deal breakers but need attention.
Forgiving
Oaks is a golf friendly course that is good for beginner to intermediate golfers. Greens are in good shape but the course is littered with ant hills. Watch your step. Fairways are open and their is water to watch out for on several holes. Good value but not for those who expect a meticulously maintained Cousy/
Palm Aire Oaks
Overall, a good experience at the Oaks course. Pace of play was steady, finished in four hours and fifteen minutes. The greens are ok some better than others but decent, fairways/tee boxes are fine.
Overall a nice Sunday afternoon of golf.
