Connestee Falls Golf Course

Twelve greens were in exceptional shape (wish golfers fixed their divots better) while six are under signficant sod repair; fairways were a bit thin or threadbare in places, same for white tee boxes; traps were in good shape; wonderful layout - always a fun mountain course!

Have played here many times over the past few years and have never been disappointed. Would consider this my home course. However yesterday, I noticed bare spots in the fairways and around the greens. Some of the traps looked as it had been a while since they had been raked. Could it be because it was toward the end of the season, sure, but I do not remember it like this in previous years. Still a great course but not nearly in the condition as it has been in the past.

Challenging course in a beautiful setting. However, the conditioning has deteriorated in the past year. Not worth regular greens fees due to poor conditioning. They are working on improving problems on the greens and fringe. I won’t be back until improvements have been made.

I had heard a lot of positives about the golf course. It's a very memorable layout, but the course conditions were very average (or below), the lunch was very average (or below), and the clubhouse bar closed at 3:00 PM on the Sunday of the Presidents Cup, which was disappointing when we finished at 5:00 and wanted to watch it. It's a one hour drive each way from Asheville, and I think I will save that time in the future.

Something has killed the greens and the repair/replacement has not worked yet. Whatever got the greens has also damaged tees and fairways. Real shame, a favorite for mountain golf in NC.

Beautiful course in great condition even after aeration, very friendly and helpful staff

The greens were worse than airification. Greens that were punched were very smooth. Problem was 5 or more greens had strange rows where sod looked like it was put in, very difficult to putt. Excellent layout but some fairways had missing grass in some spots.

The course was in very good condition. Pace of play was a bit slow. Lots of elevation and wildlife.

Fun course, great views and lots of deer. Either too much rain or sun, course is in a little rough condition and especially the greens.

It was our first time playing we got a hot deal from golf now so the price was very reasonable, the staff were very friendly, the starter took us down to the tee and told us some useful tips. The pace of play was good, we were behind a 4 ball, we were only 2 and they were not playing slow but they waved us through at number 11 and we didn’t see anyone else. The course is in great shape and a lot of fun to play, playing it a number of times would help. All in all a really great course.

This is such a beautiful course. There were deer everywhere, which was an added bonus. We even saw a white squirrel! The course was in great shape. The scenery surrounding the course was breathtaking, especially the 14th tee. We will play here every time we visit the area!

Great course if you get a Hot Deal. Deer everywhere. Everything is in great shape.
