Salem Glen Country Club

Great course. Greens hard to hold. Not sure why. Cart electronic monitor had regular loud chimes through out round that was very startling and unnecessary. Tried to turn that down.but want let you.

My buddies and I played at this beautiful course today but when we got up to hole 14 we got stuck in the middle of a tournament the club was hosting. Not a single staff member informed us of this nor did they inform us that the pace of play would be affected by the tournament. We had a 12:30 tee time (teed off at 12:27) and finished at 6PM. If we didn’t pay so much money, we would have left. There were groups behind us that made that decision. It’s a shame — the course is beautiful and is kept in great condition but when there is no communication and the course does a poor job opening tee times to the public when hosting a tournament it’s hard to recommend or have the desire to come back and play.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I thought it was important to include one today. 5hr round all because multiples groups "members" were let off on the back 9 and when they made the turn it created chaos for players who were teeing off on the front. This was done by the clubhouse. Not just by players randomly. Totally unacceptable. Don't offer tee times when you know that there will be players making the turn on the front. Don't act like a private club when you have public tee times.

I met a friend here to play. The course was certainly challenging and in wonderful conditions. The greens were fast and rolled true which we loved. It was a hot humid day.

We plan on coming back in November when the temps cool down.

New greens and tee boxes are gonna be great. Greens now are like cement but it will get much better. The gps alarms are super annoying and distracting. The alarms and bells need to go away. Softer reminders should be used. Just mark the course to remind drivers where not to drive.

This course is in great shape. Tee box to green fairway to bunkers all in excellent shape. I enjoyed the round and plan on going back again soon. Very nice driving range with Trackman stats chipping area and putting green. The hotdog and drink were reasonably priced and delicious.. the staff were friendly and quick to get you checked in and off to the first tee.

I thought Salem Glen was awesome! It was a little slow but the course was in good shape!

course just open needs more time for fairways to come along.looking for to end of fall to play here again.

Such a shame! The layout is amazing. The greens were absolutely horrible. There was hardly any grass on them. The course was totally dried out. They said it was closing down soon to re-seed everything. I will definitely try it again after it opens.

Great track. Still a little dormant in areas but fairways were nice and greens were lightening quick and true. Pace of play was decent for a bunch of foursomes and us being a deuce. Only negatives was no beverage cart, and the gents in front of us didn’t wave us through. Still finished in 3:58 so you can’t really complain.

Course is in excellent condition. Had great lies in the fairway and bunkers I ended up in. Did have a hard time keeping the ball on the greens. They are the fastest greens I have ever played. A ball that hit the green on a low trajectory or without a lot of spin would not stay on the green. Did about half my putts starting from off the green. Should have spent more time on the putting green to get used to the speed. Putting green is the same speed as the course.

First time playing this course. Conditions were good. Greens were fairly hard and fast, rolled mostly true. Fairways were also good. Enjoyed the layout.

Have played here many times and this was certainly one of the more enjoyable rounds. Had some waiting, but still finished in just under 4 hours, which was great on a course known for slow play. Would still like to see someone come out once or twice to keep things moving. Course is definitely showing signs of improvement with an excellent practice area and real sand in the traps. Fairways are coming out nicely and greens were in good condition. Some of the tees were a bit rough, but hopefully some TLC will bring them out. Looks like they are headed in the right direction.

The greens are always great, fairways lush, and for the price it’s unbeatable.
