Windswept Dunes Golf Course

Former Golf Professional and 0 handicap. The course layout is great, design is good. Long drive from green to tee. It’s spaced out so plan on 4 hours. Best course I have played in the area and worth the drive. The staff was extremely friendly. The course is forgiving with huge fairways and forgiving greens.

Just a little bit further away from Destin, we all enjoyed the golf course a lot!

I had never heard of this course until it started popping up on Golfpass. It is a wonderful layout and is a beautiful course, especially the back nine. It has more tee markers than I have ever seen on a course so most handi-caps can comfortably play. Speaking of comfortable, the seats on the golf carts are plush. I have 2 things to ding, but one of them isn't necessarily the courses fault.

1. A small range bucket cost $12. That is quite higher than I am accustomed to. Range balls are included at other courses in the area.

2. No golfers seem to repair their ball marks on the greens. It is to the point where it affects most putts.

This course was worth the drive from the coast. It is a long course, but has many tee options, very well layed out, the greens were very challenging. Will be back on our next trip to the area!

Hidden Dunes Golf Course is a surprising gem nestled along Florida’s Emerald Coast. This Rees Jones design offers a challenging, yet rewarding, test of golf. Each hole is a standalone masterpiece, cleverly concealed from view.

The course is a rollercoaster of elevation changes and strategic bunkering. The large, undulating greens demand precision and creativity on every putt. While the course can be demanding, it's fair and enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels.

If you're looking for a memorable round of golf in the Destin area, Hidden Dunes is a must-play.

Great course, great condition, open fairways, good greens, a little over priced. Limited food menu, and not very good.

In spite of the rain, I had an amazing time playing here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in beautiful condition. The lay out is challenging but fun. I'm a new golfer and played from the second set of tees and appreciated the wide fairways, but beware the rough. It's punishing. I can't wait to play again when the weather is nice

This is probably the best course I’ve ever played. Depending on how far you drive the ball, this call be a very long course and challenge your long iron game. The course layout is beautiful with long fairways bunkers and tee shots over the natural sawgrass. The fairways and greens were amazing. As far as cost in relation to other courses in the area, this is better than the rest. Only down side, for $120 for a round, you’d think you could include a small bucket of range balls to warm up, but nope.

Fabulous day on a uniquely.impressive course. Excellent layout, hole and course design. Range practice facilities top notch. Smooth and undulating greens.

Several tees for several levels of play. Choose green for 400 yard par 4s. Choose Blue for 440 yard par 4s and 190 yard par 3.

Every hole an adventure tee to green. Multiple paths, landing zones, approaches. Course management essential.

Thinking players type course.

One special aspect is every hole is insulated and isolated from everything adjacent. You barely see houses. On any hole there is no visibility to any other holes. Very private play within a hole.

Played 36 holes at Windswept Dunes 10/28/24. Course is in outstanding shape and the most challenging greens I may have ever played on. Over 5 acres of greens on the course and the greens keeper must have had a bad day because virtually every pin placement was in a tough spot. Great course that I highly recommend. Two reasons they didn’t get 5’s on every category. The clubhouse is very underwhelming and the price point is on the high end with $130 per person.

Great track! A lot of fun. Multiple tee boxes made it easy to have a challenging round yet fun. The course overall is in great shape. The greens had recently been topped dress so made putting a bit inconsistent but necessary course maintenance.

Prefect day of golf. The staff is so friendly. Course is always in great shape. Will play again and again and again
