Rating 69.0

The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on fifteen of the 18 holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

Too Crowded

No water fountains or beverage cart, so buy your drinks at the clubhouse. Course is in terrible shape, I guess the front 9 is being renovated. Back 9 had gopher holes and sand all over. The wildlife and water hazards made for a decent view. Would play again for cheap, but lower your expectations.

Don’t listen to the haters

I read all the reviews (“dirt tee boxes”, “dirt greens”, etc) and was a little skeptical. And I was pleasantly surprised. This course is just fine. Yeah it’s not a perfectly manicured 5-Star golf course, but why would you expect that for $39 including cart??? It’s a very fun, sometimes challenging, 9-hole that I’d say will keep beginners on their toes and average golfers having a fun day. Greens were in fine shape for a public course. Fairways were wide and well-kept. Yes you’ll have to ask the construction workers for directions to get to the pro shop but that means no wait time and no crowds. It was so good (especially for the price!) that I’m going again this week.

Rough Shape

This is course it only to take a wife who is learning to play or a young son or daughter who is learning.

The conditions are truly horrendous. The staff was fine but the guy who took our green fee begged for tips.

My wife and I spent 39 per person for 9 holes and that isn't a good value even at that price.

Good thing it was dirt cheap!

Beware, hard to even get into the course because of road work.

Worst ever seen

Dirt tee boxes, dirt fairways once the ball gets on the green. You just have to pick it up because there is no green. After four holes, I drove back and turned my cart in. A rude kid said that was fast, I told him I played a better golf course in Afghanistan. He replied with well that’s what you get for $40. No when I get it for $40 is 218 pristine golf courses in Fort Walton Beach or Shalimar all for $40. This course is criminal. It should be illegal.

Great challenging course

From arrival to departure, all staff are friendly and helpful. The greens are in need of a bit of help but honestly it wasn’t bad at all. I enjoyed 2 rounds this week and both were enjoyable and challenging. They are updating the course so I’m definitely excited to play once it’s all completed. Again, great friendly people with smiles that really make me feel good about returning.

Nice staff but terribly neglected course

Florida has had a drought but this course was like playing on concrete. There were no markets at the tees, no numbers on the flags or arrows to the next tee -- very confusing! This course only had holes 10-18 and with construction around it expect it will be developed into stores or housing soon which explains the neglect. Very nice people but a neglected, overly dry course.

Not Playable

Understand there will be renovations in the future but for now, it should be closed. Minimal grass, playing on dirt. Overall, a terrible experience. Waste of money! Should have gotten my money back.

Get What You Pay For Course

This is not a knock on what the course is right now because they are renovating the front nine; so, the back nine is getting pretty beat up. That is just the nature of the beast.

Was a little pricey for 9-holes, in borderline condition, but it if you go in expecting a local muni, you are gonna be fine

The course plays fair. If you hit it well, you will score. If you hit it poorly, you get punished. This is about the most evenly balanced 9 that you will get down here... but, it is not representative of the area.

Motel 6 of golf courses

Seascape is doing nothing to entice people to play here. The course and the bridges and pathways are just crumbling apart. No basis maintenance. but, it was cheap enough and we still enjoyed our day out.

Poor condition

The course is in very poor condition, lots of weeds and sand spread over the course. Cart paths need resurfacing. The par 35 course is the old back 9 of an 18 hole course that used to be there, before they built homes there. Course staff was friendly and admitted the course was in bad shape.
