Driving by a PGA TOUR Superstore without stopping isn't easy for golfers.
There's always the need to add something new to the bag: a new glove, balls, wedge, hybrid, rain gear, whatever it may be. The convenience of shopping at a PGA TOUR Superstore is the draw. It seems they have everything.
What most golfers don't realize are the other services available at your local PGA Tour Superstore that can really help your game. Let's take a look:
-
Individual lessons
Individual lessons at the PGA TOUR Superstore could help your game. Courtesy photo The same technology and setup that makes the PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO™ so comfortable and effective for club fitting is available for lessons. It doesn't matter how good - or how bad - you are, lessons can be helpful for all skill levels. Whether it's teaching fundamentals or receiving reminders of them, a lesson can foster confidence that translates to more consistent success on the course.
Each lesson is 45 minutes long in a temperature-controlled indoor space. The Trackman data, coupled with digital video and cloud-based swing recordings that are accessible anytime, can put you on a path to lower scores. Lessons can be purchased one at a time or as a package. Rates start from $29.99 for children 12 and under, $49.99 for juniors ages 13-18 and $79.99 for adults.

Club fitting
Golfers can try all sorts of club head and shaft combinations in a club fitting at PGA TOUR Superstore. Courtesy photo The advent of the PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO™ has taken the company’s in-person fitting capabilities to a new level. These private hitting bays - separate from the others - are a treasure trove of shafts and clubheads from major manufacturers. It's an elevated, personalized experience. Fitters are not paid on commission, ensuring their top priority is to find the best clubs for you, not necessarily the most expensive brand.
Each studio is equipped with a TrackMan simulator and SAM PuttLab Technology - both of which produce accurate data an experienced fitter can decipher to find the clubs or putter that perform best with your swing/stroke.
It's recommended that golfers come in fresh and rested, hydrated and wearing comfortable clothes and shoes for dozens of swings. Bring your clubs and a golf glove, too.
You can sign up for a driver, iron or putter fitting ($99.99) or a full-bag experience ($299.99). If you're not sure you're ready to buy, there's also a fitting evaluation that covers your full bag ($249.99) or your current driver, putter or irons individually ($49.99).
The PGA TOUR Superstore website notes that: "For a Limited Time Only, custom club fittings in the PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO™ are FREE with a qualifying purchase of $299.99 or more."
Take advantage of this great deal while you can. If you're not happy with your fitted clubs for any reason, they can be returned within 90 days for a 100-percent store credit.

Free clinics and special events
Free putting clinics on Saturdays are held at PGA TOUR Superstores nationwide. Courtesy photo Each PGA TOUR Superstore location features its own schedule of free clinics and special events, so be sure to check its website often.
These events can include:
- Clinics for all ages
- Club fitting specials
- Virtual nine-hole tournaments on the simulators
- Vendor demo daysOne constant from location to location is free putting advice every Saturday: a putting clinic from 10-11 a.m., followed by free putter fittings from 11a.m.-1 p.m. The putter fittings use SAM PuttLab technology, which is widely regarded as the world's most accurate and comprehensive putt analysis and training system. The analysis reveals even the smallest flaws of your putting stroke. It is the only system on the market that measures technique and consistency to create a player’s individual performance profile. Video analysis gives players the tools to fix their stroke, alignment or putter choice to improve and make more putts. With SAM 3D-Putt, you can replay putts at any angle and zoom in with high-resolution 3D graphics.

Club regripping and repair
PGA TOUR Superstore offers services such as club repair and regripping. Courtesy photo Sometimes, golfers just can't let go of that favorite driver or wedge. I get it. I've had the same driver for almost a decade and the same putter my entire career. A recent airline mishap snapped the shaft in my driver, something I needed to get repaired.
PGA TOUR Superstore can help. So few golf course pro shops actually offer regripping or club repair any more, making these services even more valuable for any local golf community. PGA TOUR Superstore recommends grips be replaced once a year, or roughly every 40 rounds.
Regripping can be handled one of two ways:
* Golfers can drop off their clubs and get additional advice from an technician in-store, and they’ll get started on your work ticket.
* You can pre-pay for the grips and installation fees online and drop your clubs off when ready.Costs for both regripping and reshafting a club vary widely based on the price of the grip or shaft you choose to buy.

Practice bays
PGA TOUR Superstores around the country offer practice bays any golfer can use during bad weather or to stay in golf shape during the off-season. Courtesy photo Did you know that most PGA TOUR Superstores around the country offer indoor practice bays where you can swing away, rain or shine, day or night? I didn't, either, until writing this story. These bays offer an affordable indoor practice experience for golfers of all skill levels. Golfers renting bays can dial in their own clubs or test new or used ones.
While most locations feature practice bays with Foresight or TrackMan technology, brand new Practice + Play™ bays are available at 11 different PGA TOUR Superstore locations. These new bays allow golfers to play full simulator rounds on more than 75 championship-level courses with up to three friends.
