Don’t play this course unless you have a foursome
My cousin and I booked a tee time for a twosome
And got there and golf pass sells a tee time for a twosome and sticks them with us … I told keep their 5 dollars for booking and we would not !!! We went else where !!!! Will never be back !!! If that was explained up front I could understand but dang !!! Waste of time and of money !! Bad bad business
Great Course
Course was in excellent condition. Staff met us at the car and checked us in. We got out early so pace was a fast as we wanted to go. After the round had lunch in the clubhouse grill. Everything was delicious.
Fun course
This has always been a great place to play. The greens were not in the shape that they usually are, but they were still playable.
Gem in the North Carolina mountains
Beautiful mountain course with excellent greens. Very friendly staff and wonderful overall experience
Fun & Challenging
A fun course , while at.times challenging. Beautiful surroundings a.nd the greens are in decent shape, Reasonably priced. I prefer it to the Brasstown Valley course, which has the largest amount of fairway and green bunkers I've ever seen.
Mountain Harbor Golf
Course condition was greatly impacted by the cold wet Spring so fairways had not grown in and were thin with many bare spots. Greens however were firm and fast. Scenery was gorgeous! Great staff.
Good value for the area
One of the better value courses in the WNC area. Fairways were in pretty decent shape for how early in the year it still is. They appear to have made the greens much smaller than they used to be which has made the fringe areas quite rough and unplayable. For what you pay it's still a beautiful course and great scenery but hope to see the green areas in better shape next time.
I am here from out of town I was going to play that course Saturday with my 9-year-old daughter and now I find out I have to pay for her I can't believe that golf courses encourage children to play I seen what you did to that other person lawyer lawyer lawyer he ought to get
Potential is tremendous
Great layout, the clubhouse is super nice . The maintenance needs work. All greens have issues from 10 feet out to 2 feet out, grass is dead, missing or just too rough to putt through. I like courses with the different colored flags to know where the pin is. Blue, white, red. It could be an 11, but it’s 7-8. For 35.00 it was still a good deal.maybe in the summer it fills in ? People are nice..
I tried to play this course last Tuesday they called me Tuesday morning said I'm no longer welcome to play because of my comment I was just expressing my first amendment right free speech I think they go woke they will go broke I hope I get more contacts because of this everyone should know about this golf course I have been playing it for 20 years I have never been treated like this I'm so 68 years old I've been playing golf since I have been 13 I have played a lot of golf courses I think this is totally against my first amendment rights by banning me from the golf course play Old unions closer to play brass Town play butternut
Mr. Taphorn, your first amendment rights were never compromised. We called you prior to your tee time out of courtesy. Your not being welcome back has nothing to do with your review. It is based on your history of a lack of courtesy, honesty and integrity.
Course is trying to eliminate the common man that only have millionaires
I have been playing this course for 20 years and now management is up by the owners of the course and property owners they become snobby they want to charge riders for you now never have even for my 7 year old grandson that is not encouraging kids to want to play golf I think it is ridiculous they're not as good as brass Town valley so I recommend everybody go and play their instead I think this course is prejudice at least management is why don't they just become a private course that's how they're acting
Mr. Taphorn, we are sincerely sorry that your feelings are what they are. We absolutely encourage youth golf. We are proud to be holding the Smokey Mountain Conference High School boys tournament this year! We have schools here every week, some driving as much as an hour and a half to get here! We're currently in the process of working with Special Olympics! Furthermore, we are not prejudice in any manner. Our employees and patrons are of all different races, creeds, religions and economical backgrounds. We only ask that people are honest and courteous. Once again, we apologize for the way that you feel.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
What is your problem with playing with other golfers - you have no idea what golf is all about -
We apologize for your experience being anything but excellent. The course was totally booked on a Saturday morning and it is a common practice for the starter to pair up twosomes together to maintain pace of play. This should have been better explained to you. Going out as a twosome on a busy golf course would have led to long periods of waiting and frustration.
