An Adventure
Haven't played Chatuge Shores in a few years; best I have seen the course.
Outside of some clippings and a few bare spots on the course, the course was in great shape, including the greens.
One warning: if you have never played: be aware of blind shots and the elevation differences with "Mountain golf" and have a good time.
Chatuge
It seems like every time i go there. the golf is great but the staff is rude. Not sure why that is. but, it isnt necessary.
Got to be able to putt. Course in good shape green are fast with lots of turns!! Had a great time playing for the first time on this course.
Little out of the way but worth it.
Great course to play. Greens are soft. Course in good condition. Definitely play again.
Very good condition
Golf course is in very good overall condition. They wasn't able to mow the greens because of the over night rains, greens were justba touch slow with the dew. I think they would have been very nice if they could have mowed them. Still the best greens in the area right now.
Greens were perfect.
Played on a rainy day. Course was wet but drained surprisingly well. Greens were amazingly smooth. Staff very friendly, especially the cart guy. Overall very enjoyable experience.
Do not waste your time
We got a great deal and played this course for 8.00 for 18 holes it was a comvienent drive from Murphy, NC. The deal was not great the staff was rude and even though we had a tee time walk-ins were allowed so we were playing on top of each other the whole day. The course was mediocre, I would have been upset if I had paid full price. I wanted to leave after the first hole. There are better courses in the area.
Course in GREAT CONDITION!
Vacationing in the area and played several courses, this one by Far in best condition!
It is what it is
Hole #2 is the dumbest golf hole I've played and the 18th Hole is a close second with 14 coming in at a close 3rd. It's a short course and pretty manageable if you've played it a few times. It's a mountain course so if you're looking for flat lies then get out of the mountains. Grass is coming in nicely on the fairways and the greens are starting to roll a little better. I'll keep playing this course but mostly cause I'm poor and can't afford to play the courses I'd prefer to play. The folks out there are as nice as they come but if you're looking for a pristine course with a superb layout, this ain't it.
