Greens was tough
Me and the boys played first time Saturday had a 10:20 tee time. Course layout was great big warning for hole 4 tough hole. The pins was in ridiculous areas on the greens. But probably wouldn’t be that hard if you knew the place! We got told by the ranger to keep up with pace and we no one in front of us or behind so he didn’t have nothing better to do. Other than that great place. We will be back
Mountain Golf Challenges
Course in good condition coming out of winter season. A few holes with blind shots due to mountain terrain making it somewhat gimmickie. But overall a very nice course and greens in good shape. Should be even better as Spring/Summer around the corner.

Great Mountain Golf Course ⛳️
Tucked in the mountains of Hayesville, NC, this golf course is an excellent opportunity for a challenging elevation changing golf game featuring small sized greens. Four different tee box locations make it challenging for all levels of golfers. The green grass throughout the course made every shot playable.
Not worth playing.
Drove about an hour and walked on during the middle of the day on a Friday. Weather was perfect, when I arrived at the course I immediately liked the clubhouse. Tee times were showing the day was completely wide open hence why I decided not to make a tee time. When I entered the pro shop I noticed a sign on the front desk that said the driving range was closed. I checked in and was told it was Cart Path Only which kind of surprised me until I got out onto the course.
I checked in and the gentleman in the pro-shop told me that was a college team that was teeing off soon and I should hurry to the tee box.
Overall the course layout is pretty fun, however the greens appeared to infested with crab grass and the collar around the greens were destroyed or damaged, the fairway grass seemed burnt and brown yet it was like walking on saturated carpet. The rough was long and bent over and hardly playable. The greens were small but ran very very slowly, I'm sure at one time it was a lovely golf course but without significant improvement I would never play here again.
I gave 1 star for the "Off course amenities" because the range was closed and the restaurant and bar was shuttered on a Friday night.
Nice course
Course was in great shape. Group ahead of me was hitting numerous balls without any concern that there was a group behind them.
