Chatuge Shores Golf Course

Very helpful and friendly staff. Grounds keepers were very considerate. Carts were clean. We will be back.

This course was in much better shape than the last time I played it. Greens were excellent. Had to weather a storm that took down several trees and limbs, so they will have a lot of clean up required.

Weather was perfect and the course was in good condition. Tough to be a single with so many groups playing. Play was slow but enjoyable. The scenery on the holes next to the lake is beautiful. For the price, I will definitely play again. Next time I will have at least a three-some.

I thought the course was very nice. I really liked the mountains in the background and the sloping greens.

What a great day to play! I encourage all to come out and support this course as there is talk about the possibility of closing...does not need to happen....

Nice course in the mountains. When we played the lake was down. so it didn't play as much of a factor as is did the other times i have played here. Greens and fairways are nice. this is an excellent course for the money 30$ or under range. And i made par or better on the 4 par 5s and birdied 2 par 3s so i was very pleased with the course.

The greens were in good shape The setting is beautiful with lake and mountain views. We had perfect weather. Great value and I will go back. Course is hilly. My partner didn't like the hills.

Greens are near perfect! Very enjoyable day-
No crowds. Good electric carts. Fairways still green. Tee boxes could use a trim.

Course well maintained and very playable. Great course for the money.

My brothers and I played this course and loved it!!! We were on vacation from Florida and we don't get drastic elevation changes on the courses at home. This course was very challenging because we aren't used to selecting a club to hit to a green that is about 60-70 feet above our heads. #8 runs along the lake and is a great photo-op. The back 9 is much flatter compared to the front but still a good challenge. The greens were in excellent condition and the weather was absolutely perfect, 75 degrees when we tee'd off at 1:30. The staff was very nice, one ranger checked on us 6 times throughout our round to make sure we were having a good time and give us a few pointers on the upcoming holes. When we go back to the Blue Ridge Mountains, we will definitely play here again!!

Greens were fast. Would land on the green and ball would often roll off. Use course management on the holes. Check landing area before you approach green.

Course was great for any level of golfer. I've just started pplaying and had a blast

The condition of course was really good! Old course but everything was up to my standard.

The good: friendly staff; good food. Course is layed out as if the designer, if there was one, walked around pointed out put a tee box there a green here. Doesn't appear that any earth was moved to create the course, maybe good but makes for a bad layout. Course was in average plus condition. Winter kill to the fairways not much can be done by maintenance staff. Greens in good shape except hard, shots weren't holding.

Greens all have character. Fairways show the wear and tear of a hard winter! Had to start on back due to a tournment on Saturday afternoon. Last 5 holes behind a slow play twosome. Course Marshall rode by and said nothing about letting us play through? I will go back course and view is great.

Chatuge Shores is a really fun course that is typically in wonderful condition. The greens are great. It's an all-around terrific course.

The course is a little rough, but the long cold winter probably

has a lot to do with it. I'm 70 so I play the senior tees,but they are up away too far from the white tees… You can miss your drive completely and still have no problem getting to the green in regulation. The layout of the course needs some improvement and the greens, well, some of them are downright unfair.

The two of us got a super deal to play at Chatuge, on a cool breeze day, so we took it; and instead of riding in a cart, we took our push carts so we could walk. And the pro shop wanted to make sure we knew we paid to ride; and we said we like walking this course; as it is very easy! The greens were good to receive the ball to stick, but man were the still FAST ! Love this golf course, and WILL be back.

The advertised price was $21.00 and when I booked it the price was $31.00. The course should be held to their advertised price.at that point it was too late for me to book somewhere else.
