Not in best of condition
The course layout was ok, not in the best of condition, pace of play was very good.this would not be my first choice when golfing.
Middle of the road course
The foursome before us were sooooo slow. They took 8 minutes to putt out every hole!!!! Our tee time was 10:08 so whoever was before us were too slow.
Great Lake views.
Course was an excellent overall condition greens & fairways were super nice & almost every Tee box was good to very good. Great staff, fun course to play because the front nine is a mountain course, & the back nine is more of a flatter layout but challenging because of small greens and water hazards. Definitely recommend.
Needs work
It has been 5 years since I've played this course. I live here in Hayesville and was hopeful this municipal golf course would one day have the financing to make this course playable.
This is a budget golf course, at best, and at $55 is not worth it. $35 is acceptable under the current conditions.
The employees are friendly and are not the issue. I know times are tough and I will play this course as a last resort and when I need some range time. I wish I could give a better review but I'm just being honest.
A bad day on the golf course is better than a good day at work.
Was OK
For a course that wraps around Lake Chatuge, with some beautiful views, the maintenance could be so much better. Greens were actually in good shape, No issue there. However, the Fairways were nothing but crabgrass and low cut weeds. There were sections of Bermuda but the Fairways were just overtaken with years of weeds. Plus the cart paths, good lord, pot holes and bumps. Horrible to drive on. So Play for the views, but don't expect a tee to green maintained course. The staff was aces. Super friendly folks. That course is in desperate need of a facelift.
This course is very poorly maintained
This was one of the worst golf maintained golf courses in this area. There are many other better choices at a comparable cost. I would not recommend this golf course.
