Chatuge Shores Golf Course

Great, challenging course (especially for your first time playing it). Greens were in phenomenal condition. Lot of sloping fairways and doglegs, so hit them straight and no need to hit bombs off the tee. Can’t be the value. Would recommend.

Course was in good shape. Greens were true. Hope you have better luck putting than I did!

After the rude foursome in front of us quit after hole #8, we had an excellent round of golf. The foursome were extremely slow, and even refused to let the single ahead of us to play through.

First time playing course. Many 'blind' tee shots and/or fairway approach shots, plus elevation changes, make this a difficult tract for high handicappers AND anyone playing it the first time.

Greens is pretty good shape.

The course was in great shape. The greens were excellent. Great value for the price. We will be playing there again soon.

Chatuge Shores is great little course for a reasonable price. The difference between the front and back nines is like playing 2 different courses. The front is very hilly and quite challenging. The back is more level and has lots of water. Just a fun course to play.

Decided to travel about 40 miles into NC to play on a Saturday. Well here it is: Busy but not packed. Blue jeans, t-shirts, hat on backwards crowd! Course conditions werent great! I was in a few bunkers and none of them had been raked by the club or any golfer for at least a week! Sad! Tee choices were good (some I wouldn't have wanted to play from) Fairways were a mix of dormant grass, weeds and just wild grasses. Rough was generally un mown and 6 to 12 inches deep in most areas. The front 9 was challenging/hilly and fairly long holes. If you haven't played here before good luck choosing an angle of attack on a par 4 or 5 site lines arent great. The back 9 wasnt quite as extreme but still hilly. I personally don't know how a teen or an older adult could play here or score on this course due to length, layout and off the fairway areas? The guys in front of me were in their 30's and played the white tee's, when we were unloading they were talking and tallying one said hey look at that we both shot 100, there you go! BTW the greens putted pretty good but did not hold even with a SW or LW approach. Would I go back again in season, No, I just wasnt impressed and dont think it will get any better anytime soon!
