Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club

Since I have leg and back problems, I thought there was too many holes that were cart path only. the holes with the on path areas to me were dry and should have been off path. I do agree with pare 3 holes and maybe wet areas but not all the dry well drained area. Greens were great. A lot of no grass area on the fairways. Other than that I love the course.

Has become my favorite course to play. Layout is great with water, corners and hidden challenges. Beautiful setting in the mountains with far off views.

Course conditions are what they should be for winter. Come spring and grass comes in this course will be amazing. Greens were smooth and fast.

I love playing this course. Each hole has a unique challenge and forces one to use most clubs in the bag. Greens in great condition for winter golf and pace of play is fairly quick. I play about once a week and live in the Asheville area. Cummings Cove is one of my two favorite courses with the other being

Had a great time here. The greens could use a little work, Hole 1 is definitely the worst green of all, careful. Other than that the overall conditions were great, views are sick, great pace. No RANGE! No Chipping!

Course was in good shape. Some low areas were a little wet. Greens were in good shape and fairways had nice cushion of dormant Bermuda. Staff was exceptionally nice.

This has become one of our favorite courses. It just has a good vibe all around with fun challenges, expansive fairways, well-maintained greens, interesting water features, friendly folks, attractive neighborhood and the views are to die for!

The Pro shop staff and Ranger are EXTREMELY friendly and very helpful. They paired us with a member and he was very helpful and also very friendly. Course is in very good shape. Greens are are very nice and roll very true. Course is not long but you need to be accurate. I hit several 4 irons off tee box and had 100 to 125 into the green. Course management is a tool to use here. I recommend this course highly. We will be back. Definitely give this course a chance.

Course was in great shape, especially the greens! Tree lined fairways made for a challenge but not excessively tough. Layout of the course is very good. Almost no one was out there so our pace of play was fast. The staff at the course was extreme accommodating, as we made an error and showed up 1.5hrs early. They were nice enough to send us off the back and fit us right in on the front without interfering with anyone else. The starter Pete was a great guy and made sure we had an enjoyable round. Would strongly recommend this course!!

Out of town and found this on golf now. Course is kept in very good shape and has great views. Short but challenging. If you spray the ball then you might want to bring 3 or 4 sleeves. Course was playing tough, greens were tough and fast. A couple holes where I chipped into the middle of the green on a slope and my ball rolled off. Loved the layout very unique with memorable holes. I don’t know if 55 dollars is their summer rate, but if it is that is a total steal.

They had a tournament the week before, and another tournament the afternoon after I played, so I figured it would be in good shape. The course doesn’t drain well, so there were lots of soggy mud holes, but the biggest problem is the greens. Untrue with lots of sand, ridges, tire treads etc. I figured they’d at least have the greens in good shape for tournament play. Also, they have a decent bar, but it’s been closed for months. I used to play here a few times a month and always stayed for drinks/food after. Now the bar is always closed. Terrible pace of play. We chose to skip several holes due to frustratingly slow play and still couldn’t finish in 4 hours. Why do they even pay a starter/ranger? Slow play is tolerable if they sell beer…but Cummings Cove won’t open up their bar to sell any beverages. I think they are going bankrupt or something.

I love this golf course, have likely played it more than any other in the Asheville area. In my opinion, it has one of the best layouts around and is an absolute joy to play. However- this is not a $55 golf course in its current condition. Seems like half the bunkers are ground under repair and greens haven’t recovered since being punched a month ago. I would pay $55 to play this all day long if conditions were better, it’s a shame to see them struggling with conditions likely due to lack of funding from ownership/management
