Winston Lake Golf Course

Was able to book this on short notice for an early morning tee time and found the course to be in better shape this time of year than earlier in the season. For 20 bucks, pretty hard to beat, really enjoyed being able to get a 7:30 tee time a night prior.

Don’t miss the fairway or you lose your ball. Greens are undergoing repair. Cart May run out of juice before you make it back.

greens were a little slow. went through 3 golf carts all ran out of juice,

Course was in good shape. A few greens had repairs, but most were in excellent shape. Leaves were falling and maintence crews worked hard to blow them off all holes.

The greens are absolutely chewed up and super patchy, overall horrible experience and under maintained. Will not be returning.

This course needs to be featured online as a great place to break your wrist on rocks and roots.

If you manage to get a decent shot on the green off of the concrete they call a fairway, that birdie look will be blocked by a crater on the green.

The “GM” of the clubhouse, or that’s what he called himself, was upset that we were early and when we asked to pay the extra cart fee as we had talked about in the phone call to book our time. We informed him that we had talked about it on the phone and then claimed he didn’t care because didn’t talk to him?

Ultimately this place stinks, don’t waste your money.

Booked a tee time for 2 at 7:30 am through this site. Google said course opened at 7:30. No one who worked at the course showed up until just before 8am. They then acted annoyed at the 8 (others who also booked online) of us waiting on them and repeatedly stated they did not care what we read online. We were polite but we're met with indignation by the guy in the club house. He ultimately got it sorted out but he was not friendly about it.

Greens were really long and was like putting on carpet. Several greens has large dead spots on the back 9. Holes looked like they hadn't been moved in weeks. Driving range waa closed.

In short go somewhere else.

The staff is amazingly friendly. Greens roll extra smooth and it's a challenging course. The practice area is top notch with 2 putting greens and a greenside bunker to practice out the sand. You will not find a better course in the area for this value.

The staff and horrible greens is what makes this undesirable. If they were not part of First Tee I would recommend that the course be closed.

Staff is very unprofessional and quite rude. A buddy of mine and I tried it out as a last second option and I regret every cent I spent at this place. Upon entry, the GM tried to refuse my second cart I requested when booking the time and was told it wasn't an issue. Then the course is in absolute horrific condition with half the greens being unplayable. I will never be back here and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

Course was in decent shape a few greens needed some work. But overall it was really nice.

Not overly long, but you have to hit it straight here.

The course layout was great but.....the course needs some TLC & LOVING!!!! If this course was WELL taken care of it would be a AWESOME course to play. People already come here because of the layout but that's all it needs. Really BRING THIS COURSE BACK TO IT'S GLORY its suppose to be!!!

Had a 7:32 AM tee time and staff didn’t get there until 8:15 AM. Golfers were waiting at the doors telling me that it happens often. What a joke of a course.
