Cossett Creek Golf Club

About
Located just a few miles north of Medina, Cossett Creek Golf Club has an easily accessible location just three miles west of I-71. The course takes its name from the meandering creek that winds throughout the course. The layout is spread across 130 acres of scenic, gently rolling terrain. It's a round that is player friendly enough for beginners to enjoy but seasoned golfers looking for a quick and challenging round will also be pleased. The front nine is open and forgiving, a nice warm-up to prepare you for what's next. The creek comes into play throughout the golf course and there are three lakes that come into play on the back nine. The holes are tighter on the back nine and they'll put your accuracy to the test. None of the holes are particularly long, but Cossett Creek G.C. is a course that will make you think.

2 different 9`s
front nine normal , back nine tighter and tree lined, tee shots on back made you think a lot more , risk-reward. greens were consistent and smooth
wonderful
the front was immaculate, back had some under repair. greens and fairways were all good.
had a wonderful time with my 13yr old.
Best value out of 20+ on golf now yet.
Always a solid choice
I enjoyed playing this course when it was known as Brunswick hills. This was some of the best shape that I have ever seen it in. The new owners seem to be upgrading several areas of the course. Exciting to see. Can't beat the deals either.
Friendly staff
Fairways need improvement but greens are in good condition. Back nine challenging but places need more maintenance.
much improved course
i have played here for 35 years. it has come along way, and is in good shape. the greens are fair.
Potential
Very nice layout. Challenging from back tees. The course has obviously suffered from neglect in the past. Cart paths are unsafe to drive on in some areas. The grass is suffering because of limited cart paths. Fairways are cut in but grass is not quality. Greens were very good for the most part. Hard and fast on this particular windy day. I hope the new owners can afford to continue improvements. With Golf Now deal, the price was reasonable.
You get what you pay for!
You get what you pay for! I paid $20 for 18 holes on a Sunday morning thinking I was getting the steal of the century (I had never played here before). I quickly realized why it was only $20. Course was in poor condition. Little differentiation between rough and fairway, slow, spongy greens, and boring layout. Cart paths were all washed out to the point you could not ride on them. I passed several players wearing inappropriate golf attire (tee shirts, jogging shorts, bib overalls). With all that being said, if you want to go hit some balls and get some practice in, $20 is worth it.
Enjoy improvements
Have seen many improvements to the course, clubhouse and the friendliness of the staff. Started playing last year 9 hole league only but now use it with grandson and other friends because of the improvements.
Excellent value
After taxes and fees, my foursome played 18 w/ a cart here for $12 a person, which was a steal as the course was very nice and in great shape. The front mine was open and much easier than the back none and they played almost like two different courses, which I liked as it was a nice change of pace.
Much Improved!
I hadn't played here in at least 10 years when the course was Bruswick Hills.
Despite the fact that potions of the course were very wet from heavy rains the previous day, the fairways were in decent shape. The greens were very impressive, and I imagined the course would play very differently as the sun dried them out.
One could see that new ownership was putting substantial effort into improvement, starting with the greens. There were several bunkers roped off as ground under repair, a new tee box being constructed for a Par 5, and areas of the course with new concrete.
I hope to alleviate the poor conditions of the cart paths the owner considers recycled tires over blacktop or concrete. Environmentally friendly - and saves the player bad bounces during a round!
Super friendly!
New name...same course! The staff was exceptionally friendly. Greens were in really good shape and overall a fantastic value. Will play again soon!!!
Much Improved !
I believe new owners have taken over this course. It had gotten pretty decrepit and unmaintained and we were pleasantly surprised at the obvious improvements. The greens were in the best condition I have ever seen on this course. It is no country club but has improved from almost unplayable to a very nice, well-maintained enjoyable place to play. Pleasantly surprised and with the unbelievable online deals, it was actually a steal.
this has unique holes
Good conditions, with excellent greens. Pace of play was slow for me.
gulfnow.com best way to play!
Had a great time, fairways clear and clean. Cart paths in need of repair otherwise perfect day.
Great first time experience
First time coming out to Cossett Creek and it was a great experience. Staff was nice and the pace of play was perfect (our tee time was at 7am). Unfortunately it down poured on hole 7. The staff gave us a refund no questions asked and I will be back to play 18 again soon.
a tale of two 9's
Somewhat of a value buy with coupon. For full price I would have been disappointed. The staff was very friendly and happy to have us. The practice green was entirely different than the actual greens on the course. The front 9 was mostly flat and straight with wide open fairways. Fairway and rough all almost the same cut. There are some bunkers that do come in to play but 1/2 our less were actually filled with real sand, the rest were more dirt-like with rocks. Rather short par 4's, big hitters will play many drive/wedge. The back 9 was much more interesting than the front with more elevation changes and tighter tee shots. #12 is the most interesting hole, unfortunately, the back portion of the green was brown and the bunkers were in deplorable condition. Cart paths were more than a mess but staff said new ones were on their way.
Good Value
The greens are in great shape and fairways are as good or better than most public courses in the area. Some of the cart paths are in rough shape so watch where you're going. Wide open front nine but tightens up quite a bit on the back.
nice course great value.
The golf course in under new ownership and you can start to the improvements with the updated club house when you check in. The course it self was in good condition played fast with great value.
Cosset Creek review
Price was cheap. Fairways and greens were in decent shape but could be nicer. Front nine is a boring layout. Back nine is exciting and fun to play.
greens great
greens were great, back nine challenging, improvements in progress.
