Cossett Creek Golf Club

About
Located just a few miles north of Medina, Cossett Creek Golf Club has an easily accessible location just three miles west of I-71. The course takes its name from the meandering creek that winds throughout the course. The layout is spread across 130 acres of scenic, gently rolling terrain. It's a round that is player friendly enough for beginners to enjoy but seasoned golfers looking for a quick and challenging round will also be pleased. The front nine is open and forgiving, a nice warm-up to prepare you for what's next. The creek comes into play throughout the golf course and there are three lakes that come into play on the back nine. The holes are tighter on the back nine and they'll put your accuracy to the test. None of the holes are particularly long, but Cossett Creek G.C. is a course that will make you think.

Getting Better
Old Brunswick Hills, albeit "worn & tired" it appears they are trying to make things better here and I WILL keep it in my rotation simply due to location and price. This place is great in a pinch.
Cosset creek
They seam to be making some nice improvements they are needed. Very nice general manager
This will be on my rotation...
I haven't played here in years so obviously not since the name change. You can see that work has begun on improvements although there are several holes where they got their heavy equipment bogged down in the fairways and tore it up pretty badly. The greens were in as good shape as any I've seen for this early in the season!.I'm certain this will prove to be a good value throughout the season. Bring your A game for the back nine...
Wet!
It was the old Brunswick Hills, about the same. It was wet but they couldn't do anything about it. I was fine with the course considering the tough winter.
all around good play and value
The front gold tees make this course fun for older players. However canbe challenging for all skill level golfers from back blue tees. Front 9 is open and easy to play but you better not spray your shots on back 9 because it is tight. Straight shots are rewarded.
Ego Builder
Shot 68 from the tips but you have to realize this course is very simple. There are some tight holes but an iron off the tee makes even those simple.
Conditions were less than pristine. They are working on the course and it shows. There are bare spots here and there but with the weird summer we've had that is not surprising. Greens were on the slow side but did putt ok. They were not bumpy and the putts held their line.
A fun course. I played at 7 am first out and finished in under 1.5 hours. I would not pay more than $20 for a round here but when it is on hot deal on Golf Now it is a bargain.
Nice course. Back nine more challenging. More hills, water and some blind shots. 18th hole a par five with a big pond strategically placed.
Nice course and people. Homey atmosphere. The back nine an easy four to five strokes tougher. Don't miss hit on 12-16, or 18. You will pay if you do.
Did not honor Golf Now tee-time
We reserved a 10:15AM tee time on Golf Now. When we got to the course they said our tee time shouldn't have been available and they were double-booked. As a result they sent us off the back and we consequently had to wait 30 minutes at the turn with groups teeing off on the front.
Management was completely unapologetic and denied any wrongdoing. The course actually wasn't too bad but I probably wouldn't golf here again, and certainly wouldn't trust any online booking service through Brunswick Hills.
Good couse that needs some work
This could be a nice course if some little upkeep was being done. Many of the holes have either ground under repair or just plain dirt piles on the hole. Front and back nines are very different and with some work the back nine could be very nice. Greens were very nice.
O.K Course
The front 9 is open. Tee boxes could use some TLC. Greens were good. Fairways were maintained
Fun Day of golf
The front 9 is open and entertaining with lots of space and landscaping. The back 9 is a bit more challenging, as it crosses a strategically located creek into the designed of 4 consecutive holes. The greens are not as easy as they appear as they have a subtle roll and crest on many of then, Not your pool table flat surface. Challenges to the short game is great here. Tee boxes could use some TLC but overall course is a hit with our group.
Local course
Some housing construction nearby which is affecting course conditions. Mounds of dirt near fairways &tee boxes. New tee boxes need to grow in. Overall course is fun to play.
Good Surprise
I was not expecting much from this course. It turned out to be very nice. The pace of lay needs a little work. If I didnt have an extremely slow 2some in front of me, I could have played the course in less than 2 hours. Not organized with Golfnow tee times.
