Legend Lake Golf Club

The course earlier this year was in pretty rough shape due to the lack of rain which was expected. With the added rain the last few weeks the course looked pretty nice. Some of the fairways have some bare spots but the overall it’s not to bad.

Considering the condition in 2023, the course is in much better shape. The greens were nice and rolled well. It would be nice if more people repaired their pitch marks on the green but that goes for any course. Some of the fairways were a little beat up and had patches of dirt where grass once was.

Conditions at Legend Lake has significantly improved from end of last year. They had lost a superintendent and at one point the course was virtually unplayable. Greens are in great shape and the work that was done there has shown- rolling true. The fairways do still need some work as there are patches of dead grass but the course is very much playable.

For those of us who like playing this course please continue to get back out and help fund the course! Still some work to be done but very much has a high potential to be a great local track

I worked at this course from 2006-2009 when it was private. This place has always been a special place to me. The layout and beauty of this course was absolutely outstanding til 3 years ago. I played here yesterday because rumors are circulating that this place will be sold and a development will be put in. The course has gone down hill, disease spots, scalped fairways, uneven greens, and disgusting ponds. This is my last farewell to this course and the memories I have there will be with me forever. Played at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday. Started out fine but by 2nd hole we were backed up thru 18. Very slow pace of play. Played here several times before without a problem. Wide open with a few water holes.

I enjoyed my first round at Legend Lake... staff was friendly, not too busy and the course was in better than average shape. My only real complaint is that if you are going to offer a restroom on the course you should clean it... nothing short of discusting.

These guys have done a great job getting this course back to its former glory. Great value for a great track - used to be private and it still feels that way when you play it. Legend is now back in our top rotation.

This is really a nice layout from the back tees. I played here last year and was disappointed by the level of upkeep. This year was a different story. It looks like they’ve worked to improve the maintenance and added some sand to the bunkers.

Staff was very nice and accommodating.

Looking forward to my next tee time.

The greens are not immaculate but who cares

. Had a great time.

Staff tried to charge me $36. I showed him the reservation was for $18. He said no you needed to pay on the app for that to count. I said no it clearly states $18 due at the course. They ended up honoring it but made sure to tell me next time I had to pay on the app like it was my fault. They also didn’t tell us we were behind a senior golf league. Took me and a buddy 3 hours to play 9. Again for $18 its all good but course isn’t worth much more than that.

First time playing this course. It will likely be the last. Absolutely horrible conditions and the worst I have ever played. The greens fees are as much or more as decent courses in the area. Cleveland Golf Properties should be embarrassed!

Course maintenance has improved greatly but still needs work on the greens and sand traps. Although so much better than it was last year. Staff was friendly and fun to talk to.
