River/Maple at Fowler's Mill Golf Course

Difficult course. Wasn't made aware that greens had been aerated, although golfers might expect that this time of year! Was cart path only and cart paths are in very bad shape.

Booked a round to play the Lake/River Nines. Neither the course website nor GolfNow disclosed the course had been recently aerated. The Lake 9 was recently aerated and the River 9 was actually closed for aerification. When brought to the attention of the Pro Shop, that individual was no help and not interested in making the situation right. Basically said we notified GolfNow about course conditions and to take it up with them.

One of the premier courses in Northeast Ohio.Beautiful layout, extremely challenging, and in immaculate condition. Used to be TRW's private course.

Played my annual round at Fowler's. It seems to be slipping, maybe because of COVID?

- several fairways hard burn-out areas. There were the same burnout areas in 2019. Doesn't seem it's been addressed

- the green on Hole 1 had a 6 inch strip of turf removed across the middle. Not sure why but definitely impacts the green. We treated it as ground under repair if you had to putt across it.

- for the price, very basic carts.

- Clubhouse shut down. No snack bar, no cart, etc. Very basic.

-Doesn't really feel "premium" any more. Abover average, yes. But "premium"? No.

I booked on golf now. When I got there I didn't want to use my debit card so I payed cash. Day later I noticed I was charged for the round of golf and there fee after I payed in cash. Called up there and got no where. The guy told me it was for a cancelation the day before but that was not the case. I still have the receipt and my bank statement prooving my case but I work out of town and can't get back there to straighten it out. I believe this has happened before and I just didn't catch it.

The course is as nice as it’s ever been. Conditions are well above average.

However, teeing off at 3:00 and having no starter to watch the groups go out it made for a 5 hour round.

Sending out twosome after twosome and twosome does no one any good.

I just wish there was someone to keep play moving along.

Beautiful layout. Pete Dye would be rolling in his grave. Traps not raked out, full of weeds and mud. Needs TLC. Disappointed . Better courses at that price point.

I love Fowler’s Mills and it’s a great layout but the course has seen better days. I don’t know if they’re struggling cause of Covid but I hope they can recover soon. Weeds growing in traps, cart paths are beat up, tee boxes not looking great and no starters working the course.

slow pace of play, group of kids that were horrible were not letting anyone pass. Hopefully some rain will cure the dry spots. Greens were great.

Loved this coarse, beautiful and challenging. Almost every hole was a blast to play. Can't wait to come back!!!

Course is in ok condition and greens were fast. Pace of play was very slow.

Old TRW course suits the above average golfer best with most holes requiring well placed shots. Bad shots will result in penalties. Beautiful views and excellent design as each hole feels like it's own world. Outstanding conditions and fast greens. A must play.
