Pace of play
Went on Sunday for 2:52 tee time. Most of the day you just stood around and waited. Got thru with 9 and it was almost 7!! We left.
Good Course
The course it self is nice a play. It needs some work in all parts of the course, some of the greens and tees where beat up, fairways where pretty good. Can be a shooting gallery if you are not careful. Definately will play again.
Great course to play for cheap
I played with 4 of my friends and we didn't have a problem except it was hot out and there were a lot of bugs. The par 3's were fun and there were some challenging holes. There is a stream that flows through the course and I had to have landed a ball in it every time. Watch out haha. Great course for the value. Some of the greens were very patchy but it wasn't too bad.
Pace of play
3 1/2 hours for 9 holes. Start time 2:52. We left after 9
Decent course with wonky features
My brother and I played this course on Saturday at 6:30am. We arrived ahead of schedule and asked if we could tee off 15 min early which we could. This helped the speed of play tremendously and we were able to burn through the course in about 3.5 hours. Greens are burned out badly in some spots, tee boxes are a mess, and some holes are either uninspired or something out of a Tim burton movie. At the end of the day it's a course that gets a lot of play and if you have a good partner or four some you will have a good time. Play smart and enjoy the sun.
Fast, friendly round
Good place, greens need work, fairway ok but some spots under repair, very friendly staff and ranger. Great value for the buck.
Good value, but...
Too many bare spots in fairways, greens had a ton of sand on them (but no aeration holes, go figure).
Good value
Got a great deal from Golfnow. Greens were in good condition but the fairways and tee grounds could use some work. Good value for the money
Nice October Golf Round
The course was in fine condition for this time of year, got to course early and was able to get out before our tee time. this course is set up nicely for the average golfer,my wife and I had a great time, hope to play it few more times before it gets to cold.
A Great Time
A beautiful course, easy to play, easy to follow. The staff is friendly. Beautiful scenery. A great time.
The only downside is that the course is busy and moves slowly.
Great Value for your money
Very good course. Long drive for all of us to get there, bur worth it. Good conditions...great price.
Overall a great course
I go to Minebrook on average three times a year. I honestly can say it is a great course. I would give it five stars, but they really have to do something with their tee boxes. They are all chewed up and hard as a rock. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with the course.
Slow and slower play
Fairways in terrible to poor condition. Tee boxes horrendous. First nine slow, back nine they slid a threesome ahead who had stopped for lunch leaving 4 groups on a hole waiting to play. Poor management. Worst conditions of a course in this area I've seen all year. Will not be back.
Nice layout
Course is sorely in need of water. Very dry. Lots of bare spots. Tees were resodded and drying out. Couldn't even get a tee in the ground at times. Surprisingly, the greens are in pretty good condition. Most of them putt true with few ball marks. They even held most iron shots. Fairways in poor condition. You pretty much have to play winter rules.
Seems to play shorter than posted
Great course for tuning up. Fairly open which keeps play moving. Greens are in great shape
and will show you a few surprises.
Round will take over 4 hours
Extremely busy for an afternoon week day round. The course is tight, so you or someone on another hole sometimes have to play through on an errant shot. The tee boxes are hard but for the most part have grass. Fairways look untreated and have large bare spots on holes that receive a lot of sun. Greens play pretty straight, and a few holes have some bare patches. The course isn't difficult, but has some challenging shots so its at least fun. If you can find a deal its worth playing, but would not go out of my way to play. Its not the course for you if you want a quick round, however the staff are friendly which makes for a relaxed round.
Nice Course Structure
I like the holes at this course although conditions are average at best. That being said, greens are pretty solid. Stats show this course to be a course that should be a tougher course. It is not and I think that the numbers really need to be rerun here for handicap purposes (i.e. fresh off a 70 minute drive, no warm up, and 7 am tee time and opening with a par 5, I hit an average drive, then a hard grounder, and still had only 70 yards to go). That should not happen - ugly putt led to par.
Course needs some work
Great weekend rate.
Needed a hammer for tee boxes.
Some fairways in bad shape.
Greens in good shape.
Course needs water
The greens were in good shape for the amount of play this course gets. Most of the Tee boxes were hard, dry and very little grass. Fairways were equally hard and dry. Difficult to get a divot with you swing. Pace of play was SLOW. 5 hr round on Sunday afternoon. Golf Now price was good for what you get. There was some evidence of course improvements in the works. A few tee boxes were redone.
