About
High Point Golf Club is a public course in Montague that has been around since 1966. The course has since undergone major renovations but it still retains the original character of the design. The layout is routed between two massive, sparkling lakes. You won't find any parallel holes on this golf course, it provides plenty of space so you don't have to worry about errant drives. High Point is seemingly mild, but don't be fooled by the traditional 6,783-yard layout. There is a surprising amount of bite to this golf course. Each hole presents a unique challenge but what they have in common are the rolling fairways that are subtly contoured. They leave for some difficult and creative approaches. In addition to the golf course, High Point also has a driving range available as well as putting and chipping greens.

This time of year it’s tough to find courses that are open ...and if they are ....ones that are in decent shape . As usual High Point meets the need . Great value and great staff. Thanks for looking out for the die hards .BR ,JG staff .
Makes you think
Any mountain course is tough but the elevation changes and blindshots make you think a little is extra here. Don’t get tricked by the first hole, it only gets tougher. The first par 5 has a blind shot into a 100 yard cliff drop so thats fun too. The staff is great and then course is well maintained. Beautiful views as well. Always a pleasure playing at skyview
GREAT COURSE
High Point Country Club in in FANTASTIC Shape. The course is very challenging but also very fair. Greens are in great shape & running very true. I can't recommend a better course to play in North Jersey.
Sussex gem
It's been years since I last played High Point. I'm sorry I waited so long to come back. I'm not a fan of courses that cut through a development, but there is enough room between them that it's okay. A number of forced carries will keep your game honest. Greens are not overly large and were in great condition as was the rest of the course. Lots of dog legs demand you to work the ball, mostly right to left. Overall a fun day out.
Challenging course in rural setting
Played from white tees. Course has good length, with many water carries. Quite a few doglegs. Hadn't rained in a few days, so greens were lightning fast. Fairways were wider on front nine, got tighter on back nine. Overall, a great value. Will definitely come back.
The greens are in great condition. Great speed. There some challengeing holes and forgiving holes and some fun holes. Overall the course is a very good experience. It is not for beginners. I like to walk., however, this course is really not designed to walk.
Wonderful
Fabulous time, from the minute we pulled up. When got out of our car there was a cart parked behind us with a young gentlemen ready to help or let us do our own.
Very friendly staff from check in to check out. Coolest thing besides having a beverage cart....
Being able to call from anywhere to have food delivered.. or we called at the 8th hole for a late lunch and picked it up on our way to the 10th hole.

Course in great condition.
Have played this course a few times over the years. Course maintenance is the best it's been in some time. All the greens and fairways were in great shape.

Everything was great, a golf rep came to car with my cart, pencil and card in cart.my reservation was checked and off I went
Hidden gem
I've been playing this course on and off for years now . Greens are always in great shape . It's a point and shoot course with plenty of doglegs and water .
Very challenging, especially from the tips . Lots of houses on the course ... but you still feel somewhat secluded. FYI, you will not see a ranger to enforce pace of play and you may run into some slow play from time to time , but that's to be expected with any muni . Give it a try !!! The price is always right !
One of the best in Northern NJ.
I was a beginner the last time I played High Point so I couldn't fully appreciate it. Now that I'm a more experienced golfer and I've played it I can really say it's one of the best in Northern NJ. The course layout is the best part. Every hole has a lot of character. Just be prepared to lose a lot of balls if you aren't very good like myself because there is a lot of water! The course conditions are great and so is the staff. Also first place I've played in 2017 where there hasn't been a wait! I highly recommend this course.
