Hemlock Springs Golf Club

Even though I called the day before my tee tam to ask about the aeration and to let them know it was my first time at the course and asked if there was anything else I should know, I was not told my tee time was 8 minutes after an 80 person shotgun start outing. Thanks so much for no help. I drove 40 miles for nothing, I will not be back.

One of the best courses in this area. Greens were great, fairways were good, even though we had heavy rain the night before. Challenging but fair, with plenty of distance available. Beautiful forested rolling hills. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff.

Very challenging course. Values straight shots over distance, but not a short course by any means. Well kept greens. Only negative I can think of is their fleet of carts could use replacing.

Played with two others. We followed a couples league. Pace of play was excellent, conditions were excellent (both weather and course condition) I have not played here in twenty or so years. The trees are taller and the course is still stately.

Starter/pro shop did not tell us an outing would be doing a shot-gun start 2 hours after our tee time. When we got to the 16th we noticed golfers all around us (front and back). Fortunately it started raining so they went back to the clubhouse so we finished the last two holes. Not sure why they did not let us know.?

Teed off in the afternoon. Nice course near Geneva where we were camping. I will play again the next time I am in the vicinity.

I love this course! I drive from Cleveland one to two times a week because I enjoy the atmosphere and the beautiful course. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Hemlock has always been known as a very nice course. It is a long course with a few somewhat challenging holes. The greens and fairways are always in very good shape. Some holes also have a great view of the landscape. Water, sand, and creeks do come into play on some holes. The course is strongly recommended for all levels. You won't be disappointed.

You can certainly go Play pricier Tracks, but Hemlock is a must Play for your Traveling League, or occasional "Round in the Country". Great Conditioning, Great Bar and Grill, NO Roads or Highways around the Course, when you are off 1, it's all Golf, no Cars, Harley's, Semis etc....You cannot see a Road, House, Hotel, or any Structure, for that matter.

Big Lakes, Light Bunkering, Huge Immaculate Medium/Fast Greens, and around a $100 Bucks a Foursome for 18 and a Cart during Specials and Certain Promotions, and not much more on Regular Weekdays..

Love this place, Don't let a 45 Minute Drive keep you from coming out . The BLT Platter with Homemade Potato Salad, and a Pickle for $5.49 is worth the Drive alone! Ask for Brian if you want to Book a Group or Outing, he will hook you up!

The course was in great shape and the pace of play was better than average. I will be returning.

For early season the greens were in good condition. Staff was very friendly.

First time on course. The Good: Course layout is wonderful with a mixture of tight fairways, sand and water. Par 3's are very challenging. They did a good job of getting leaves out of way. The Bad: Having a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the westside I called early morning to find out about greens, (Aerified? smooth? etc....) Was told by older man they were Aerified in September and Quote, (they were in really good shape now). Got to course and checked in, went to putting green and it was a disaster, recently punched and verticut. appeared to not be mowed in a few days also. Made comment to elder man and he said what's wrong with them? So I told him. Then he got very defensive. (no apology whatsoever.) Fairways hadn't been cut in a while also. The holes on the greens were ragged and hadn't been changed I a long time either. We enjoyed the day and made the best out of it, but it was still disappointing to drive that far and be fooled like that.

Considering the heat this summer the greens were great.

Course is in very good shape with a little bit of everything, doglegs, elevation, water, etc.

The owners always express their thanks which is refreshing in this day and age.

Absolutely perfect out there. The entire staff does an amazing job and I would definitely recommend this course to anybody. The course conditions were probably the best I've seen here in quite some time. The greens were smooth and consistent. And I was able to get around in well under 3 hours. After your round, check out the bar and the grill. They do such a nice job with that as well.
