Corse Conditions
Grass was starting to burn. Ground and greens very hard. Still better than average for this time of year.
Nice litle course
Course is on the short side - you can use an iron off the tee on the par 4s and still have a short iron in for your second shot. Par 5s are reachable in 2 if you're a good golfer. It's a nice little course. Gets a lot of seniors and newer players so it's all luck whether the round is 3.5 hours or 4.5 hours. Longer hitters won't like it because they will have to wait on most par 4s because the greens are driveable. Chances of being hit by a tee ball are higher than normal so you have to be alert.
Great place to just play
Needed a last minute tee time without paying a lot, since I just wanted to get out on a Sunday and found this place. It's a short course and if you hit your driver 250+ then chances are you won't be pulling it out much, well you shouldn't since the holes don't set up for it. All in all, if you are just going to have some fun and hit some balls, this is a great place. If you are looking for a wow factor or a challenge this is not the right place. Well worth the money and I would play here again.
Different course since last played.
I haven't played this course in probably 20 years, but with the golf now rate of $17 bucks I couldn't resist.
Way back, I played this course in an outing two years in a row and it was in horrible condition. It was dried out and burned up. Fairways and greens were like straw. Today I must say my complaint was too much grass. Everything needed cutting, the rough the fairways and the greens. We did have some heavy rain for awhile so maybe I won't complain too much. All that said, I must admit that for $17 it was a good afternoon and I would probably come back again.
holes
this course has some nice looking holes that really challenge you.
I'll go back!
Only my 5th time out golfing, was pleasantly surprised and happy about the openness of the course as a whole. The course is definitely easier than the par implies (several par 4's that should be 3's) but that helped add a little confidence! Didn't see any repairs being completed or needed to be done. Staff was great and accommodating (twice for myself and once for another guest I seen ). Great value! I'll head back without a doubt!
Great value
Played a round at 3 PM on a saturday for $30. i wasn't sure what to expect for that price but I was very happy. The greens were in great shape, most fairways were good and the rough and bunkers were "ok".
The course is pretty short (5700 from the whites) but was an enjoyable time. All I could think of was how much better this was than Hillsborough CC for the money.
This course has good
GOOD course up low and long.
group or team play for good
customer appreciation day
For the 2 of us it was $50 w/cart. Course was in good shape, although a little hard. Greens were soft. 4hr round was enjoyable
good times
Best greens I've seen all year. Very well maintained . staff was very respectful.
Nice Place to play
This is a nice course in decent shape with some challenging holes - a better deal than other nearby public courses, but as with many other similar type courses, the speed of the greens vary, so it's hard to get a consistent feel for them. If you can get a golfnow discount go for it!
Drinking water
I have played here for years and they always have problems with the drinking
Water.at one time they didn't supply any drinking water than one year they had a ranger riding around with a cooler giving you cups of water. Last year they supplied water at I believe two holes and now they have a machine selling bottled water at one location. No one is made aware of the situation and on a hot day it really becomes a burden that may become
A health issue. After the round
I asked
Someone in the clubhouse about it and they said they were in compliance . I saiid that it was
Ihumane and they said possibly
Nice course and always a great deal
I like this course. I play it often. The only thing that I feel they need to do is to cut some of the lower branches off the trees or maybe I just need to stay out of them. The place could also use a bar and maybe some music playing. It's like a library in the clubhouse.
Great conditions
I have been playing this course for several years. They hired a new maintenance company in the fall of last year, which is starting to payoff. Many of the tee boxes still need help but the fairways and in particular the greens are in great shape right now. This course is fun to play and is better than all of the surrounding public courses. The change of topography along this course makes for interesting play and there is a nice mix of difficulty across the 18 holes. The snack bar also has the best food of all the area courses. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
The course plays good
I like playing this course because the fairways are ingood shape greens are great the staff are good
Great elevation changes.
Got my first EAGLE ever on third hole so I might be a little biased, but I have to say the course was in great condition. Definitely will play this course again.
friendly staff, great value
Father's day, expected to be crowded. But friendly staff, free pack of golf balls was a nice touch. Course is in great shape
Fair to average
Great staff. Good potential. Average at best. Course needs some love and care. Could be great.
Great for the price I paid.
I have played this course in the past and the condition of the course this time was the best I've ever seen. Very short course the played more difficult due to thick rough. Excellent for the minimal price ($25) I paid.
Pace of play was a bit slow but it was expected for a Memorial Day afternoon with beautiful weather.
course was wet.
Enjoyed playing the course as it was wide open. The ground was soaking wet in many areas from a heavy rain
the day before. Conditions were cart path only, which was very limiting.
some greens were being aerated and putting was very rough and uneven.
The sun was shining and we had a great day.
