Hinckley Hills Golf Course
       About
Situated between Cleveland and Akron, Hinckley Hills Golf Course sprawls across the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is also a short course called the Buzzard's Nest. This course features five par-4 holes that are located right in the middle of the championship course. It's a great option if you don't have time for a full 18 holes. Hinckley Hills' longer course is a challenging test that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The undulating greens and lush contoured fairways demand accuracy, especially when coupled with the abundant woodlands. The golf course is a seemingly manageable 6,500 yards from the back tees but it can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. There are also a few water hazards to watch out for.

Cheapest place to play golf
Hinkley Hills has always been a tough course to play. It has some really long holes. The weather has made it hard for them to keep it cut down like it should be. Sandtraps are all grown over and the rough is like U S Open rough.
But, for the money you can't beat it. I'm trying to get my game back together and this place is perfect for me. I had to leave after 9 holes, but they gave me a rain check which I thought was nice. Didn't know if they would do that or not since I pre-paid through TeeOff. Hoping for good weather and better days for Hinkley Hills.
Terrible Condition
Unplayable with conditions of course. Dandelions everywhere and the grass is clumped all over the course after being cut. The fairways have longer grass than my lawn. Bunkers aren’t playable. The staff is super nice, but course isn’t worth your time even if there is a hot deal.
Nice people, rough course
This would be a great practice course if it was priced accordingly. Paying upwards of $45 for fairways barely shorter than the rough, no sand traps, cart path that’s barely usable, and tee boxes that are so uneven I teed off 10 feet back every time. Interesting layout but not very fun when u lose several balls in the middle of the fairway.
Drought conditions this year but grass in fairways was hard to find. Very hard ground to generally hit off. Bunkers are not maintained. Greens looked ok but slow.
Hot dry summer plays havoc on fairway grass. Greens in excellent condition.
I think the hot dry summer has played havoc on multiple courses this year and Hinckley Hills is no exception. The biggest plus are the Greens here - they are well maintained and watered, the fairways are dry, the tee boxes are plus minus depending on whole and tee (blues vs whites). overall I enjoyed playing Hinckley Hills for the Hot Deal rate. note Ratings are for this extreme weather patterns this year summer of 2024.
Great Course
Great Course , fairways are burnt up from the hot weather, greens were spongy and very slow but very green and in great condition.
Player Beware
The cart paths reminded me of off road trails in Colorado
Only go if the price is right
What could be a great maintained course is unfortunately not Hinckley Hills. I’m glad I played here for a low price for 18 and a cart. Almost all of the bunkers have been overgrown and turned into a literal jungle. One of the worst course cart paths I have witnessed. Keep in mind they charge 55$ for 18 and a cart on weekdays here. Pace of play is not a thing here either. The owner should sell this course to someone who can fix it. The upsides are, it has a very unique layout. Other than that, only come here if the price is 20-30 dollars max.
