Hinckley Hills Golf Course
About
Situated between Cleveland and Akron, Hinckley Hills Golf Course sprawls across the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is also a short course called the Buzzard's Nest. This course features five par-4 holes that are located right in the middle of the championship course. It's a great option if you don't have time for a full 18 holes. Hinckley Hills' longer course is a challenging test that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The undulating greens and lush contoured fairways demand accuracy, especially when coupled with the abundant woodlands. The golf course is a seemingly manageable 6,500 yards from the back tees but it can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. There are also a few water hazards to watch out for.

Good price, good course, slow pace
Nice course, good deal on golf now. Only golf here when price is reasonable - pace of play was pretty slow for two experienced good golfers. Enjoyable course though. Not much golf etiquette or starter help with play throughs.
A Nice Track
I Enjoyed The Track Immensely! It Tested My Game!!
Worth the money
Good course to get out and play. Offers enough challenge for intermediate/beginner golfer. Pace of play was on track. Not a lot of bunkers but some water hazard. A couple of the greens can use some touch up but what course can't. Tried pairing us up with another group, requested not to play with another group and they obliged. Golfing can be stressful enough at times and I hate being paired up with people I don't know. I am there to find my comfort zone not to be judged and feel uncomfortable on the course. So I am thankful the staff understood.
Beautiful rolling and hills to view golf course.
They have used the Hinkley Hills park scenery the produce a beautiful golf course. The distance between the green and next tee box is part of the ride. Nice greens and fairways, well kept.
Challenging
Course has all been in great shape. Well maintained fairways and greens. Holes are very challenging. No. 1 especially challenging if you've never been here. If you can't play a whole round they have 5 hole course called the Buzzards Nest. Never played it.
Disappointed
It looks like they took a nice 18 hole track and mucked it up with 5 extra holes. New holes are short, target golf holes with fuzzy greens, while the original greens don't hold. Not a course I would recommend
Awesome Course
Awesome Course we enjoyed the course as always. Great up and down course, can be challenging.
Will never play there again and not worth any fee.
Course has a number of poorly designed holes. Course is in fair condition in some places however one green has large areas that are unplayable and the traps look like they have not been maintained.
Staff overcharged people in our group before being called on it and returning the difference.
No drinking water anywhere on the course or beverage cart and not informed by anyone prior to the round.
The course is in bad condition
The course is in bad condition. All of the sand traps are hard and have grass growing out of them. There are no yardage markers. There was Danny Lyons growing in the Fairway.
Drainage Issues
After some bad rain the day before, the course didnt drain too well...even with all the hills, i only expected water issues in the low ground...
So im sure the rain caused all the long grass just off the fairway. It was tough to find your ball on ever shot which slowed the pace of play down. Some bunkers even had grass growing inside them, ive seen the course in better shape.
To be fair, the staff was great and i like that the course didnt jack their prices up due to it being a holiday, while knowing their course wasnt in its best condition at the time.
The course is already challenging enough, so only play in dry conditions....they have drainage issues when it rains.
Wait a month
I love playing Hinckley Hills. The elevation changes and course layout make it a must-play. That being said, you should probably wait until at least mid-May to see the course in better shape. Right now the rough is so thick I lost 3 balls that just disappeared. The fairways are pretty thick too and the sand traps are very bad. The greens were slow and bumpy after a recent aeration but are usually much better. So give them a few weeks to get in mid-season form and I'll bet you'll be glad you waited. In the meantime, I have played Chenoweth, Paradise Lake, Cossett Creek, Deer Pass, and Astorhurst in the last few weeks and they are all in very good shape.
Need water.
Course conditions were bad, dry and cracked greens and management needs to understand that they need to return to the original 18. The 5 holes they added have taken away the best holes on the original golf course. At a minimum they need to add water to the fairways and forget about the holes the added. The golf architect is rolling over in his grave with such stupidity in designing golf holes. The women who work at the course are delightful. Bob, needs to retire. Course needs new blood, Again go back to the original 18 and the rating increases 2 stars.
Great Course in N.E. Ohio
One of the best courses I have played this season. Beautiful Fall scenery, with the views that over look the surrounding valleys. Green and plush recovered well from a dry hot summer. Staff was very friendly and informative. A must play in my opinion.
Great course
I was really impressed with the course. It was very wet.
Awesome
Really enjoyed the whole experience
