Hinckley Hills Golf Course
About
Situated between Cleveland and Akron, Hinckley Hills Golf Course sprawls across the rolling hills of northeastern Ohio. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, there is also a short course called the Buzzard's Nest. This course features five par-4 holes that are located right in the middle of the championship course. It's a great option if you don't have time for a full 18 holes. Hinckley Hills' longer course is a challenging test that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The undulating greens and lush contoured fairways demand accuracy, especially when coupled with the abundant woodlands. The golf course is a seemingly manageable 6,500 yards from the back tees but it can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. There are also a few water hazards to watch out for.

Local Knowledge is Key Here
Don't play this one without a Sherpa! This mountainous challenge doesn't permit a player to go out and understand where to hit more than 1/3 of the time.
Fall conditions didn't help.
Good layout
The layout of this course is challenging from the back tee for hole 5, 9, 13 and 15. The green is slow. If the course were in a better condition, this would be one of my favorite courses.
The staff is cold.
long and hilly
good course , well maintained. better bring ur A game. very challanging but also fun to play. worth the effort to play this course.
very scenic beautiful and many hills
Has many hills and every hole is interesting . Definitely one of the interesting hilly and challenging course . enjoyed very much
Course backed up badly
Course was good shape but took us 3 hours to play. Walked off after 9 and forfeited our other 9 holes because we were fuming. This should never happen we even had someone allow us to play thru as we were a twosome.
Tough Course
Very hilly, with some really tough holes. Nice condition. Highly recommend playing here.
Scenic, interesting, and fun
I tried this course and it was raining, but I still had plenty of fun. Some very interesting holes. Absolutely beautiful setting. Well maintained, greens a little more challenging than others I've played. I recommend everyone try this course.
No longer a good course
This course was once a good course with a challenging layout. The condition would get a little dicey as some continued and it would get hard. Now, the course is always bad and the newer holes are terrible. The holes in the valley are a terrible layout and unplayable even for a low handicapper. The warm up course took some of the better holes out of play. Somebody needs to take this course over and return it to a playable track.
great lay out and friendly staff
Hinckley Hills is a hidden gem. Course was in great shape and weel maintained. Everyone on staff from counter workers, starters, rangers, and the ladies at the food counter were super friendly. Cant wait to play again.
Hills galore.
Lots of blind tee shots......very challenging greens. Don't forget the Buzzards Nest! All around good value.
Good Value
I was surprised on a Saturday morning how little play there was. I purchased a tee time solo for 9:12 and ended up being by myself. The whole front 9 I was stuck behind groups but flew through the back. Command off the tee is the key to this course. Only critique is greens don't run true.
Left the course after 9 holes
9 holes took 3.5 hrs! They overbooked there tee times to where we didn't even tee off til a half hour past our tee time. If you have 6-7 hrs to play a round of golf on a sat afternoon then go for it, but I'll never return!
pffft
Got a great deal on fees 15$ for 2 -18 holes w cart but we were paired up and forced to play with 2- 50 year old women who never golfed a day in there life needless to say it took a really long time to play 18 over 6 hrs and it wasn't all there fault the course was so packed due to them selling 20+ teetimes from 100 to 108 I mean come on.. We never even teed off till 140 with 108 tee time just ridiculous
Disappointed
Condition of course was inconsistent, especially on the grees. Some slow, others moderately fast. Greens not mowed the same from green to green. Fairways still with too much clover and crabgrass. Father and son who joined us due to lower rate through Golf Now said he would never play again. He plays many of the better public courses in the area and said he was very disappointed. To him and us, the value even at a discounted price was not worth it. Price of course is far too high vs. other courses with same or lower prices which are in far better shape.
Nice course
This was the first time I played here this season. I enjoy playing here because there's a good balance between challenging and easy holes. For the average joe the front 9 is one of the toughest around the area. 2 hilly par 5' s with tough greens start off your day, then a par 4 that's just as long as the par 5's. 1 par 3 about 160 out over a big revene. Finally, #⃣ 9 is 600 yards.
Great Staff
I always love playing this course...Challenging, hilly, and scenic. The front is long with 3 par 5 but open. The back is a bit shorter but tight...will test your entire game..staff was very friendly and informative. We played at a very good pace. I definitely will be back and would recommend it .
Aerated Greens in July
Aerated Greens caused for a bumpy ride on the greens. Don't know why they did that mid year... Course was ok other than that. Not worth the price of admission though.
Over Rated
This course is not as hyped up to be as they make it. The staff was not friendly at all, food was moderate and the course was nothing to brag about. If you and your buddies are looking for fun while having a few drinks, this is the place. If your looking for a nice pristine course, search elsewhere.
Really enjoyed the round
Played 18 with my son. 4th of July weather was excellent. Tee time was 1pm. Good flow on front 9, and back 9 there was no one in front or behind. Course was in very good shape. Tight fairways and rolling hills provided some challenge. Minimal water in play and sand didn't really play too much. With value rates this course was fantastic. Would not walk this course, though.
Blues
Tough little course from the blues give it a try for a good time
