Rough
The fairways were cut, the greens were in perfect condition but because of all the rain the rough was not cut and very tall, it was impossible to chip out of.
Average course, plays tough
Average course that plays tough due to valleys, hills, some narrow fairways, and fast sloped greens. Holes 13, 14, 15 are very soggy holes with cart path only. Hole 14 is barely walkable/playable. Staff was very nice. Course maintenance was above average.
Good public course
The cart path could use some work.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Overall, it's a fun course and provides a good challenge for newer golfers
Great Course
This is a beautiful course! Definitely will be coming back to play soon!
Fall play
Had a great time playing with the wife,(rookie player). Leaves could have been blown off some fairway a little more, but, hey it's fall. Staff was excellent.
Great views!
Amazing nature all around the course. Along with a great layout. Some greens with trees on three sides, and some par threes completely in the trees adds to the allure. Wish it had electric carts but as metro parks courses go it’s wonderful.
Disappointing
Course has a ton of potential, but there must not be any watering going on. The fairways ranged from beat up to embarrassingly rough with tons of bad patches; only decent part of the course was the greens were “green” but very slow. Metroparks has a ton of work to do for sure.
Saturday golf
Fairways were very dry and tons of burnt out areas. Would not recommend
People that golf there and the people that work there are nice
Second time playing there and both times the starter (who is a nice guy and keeps the place running smoothly) has paired me with guys that were decent golfers and fun to play with
Time for improvement
This beautiful course was bought by the Metroparks and it felt like that would be a great thing because the conditions had deteriorated significantly. Well, it hasn’t. In fact it’s gotten worse. The tee boxes were a complete mess and splotchy fairways all 18 holes.
Conditions are improving
Play here every month or so and course is definitely improving.
Greens were in great shape, however, on several holes we had to play around sprinklers.
