Fox Creek Golf & Racquet Club
About
Located just 30 miles west of Cleveland, FoxCreek Golf and Racquet Club is one of the best golf courses in Lorain County. The layout has a classic design with a shorter length and forgiving fairways. The terrain is hilly, which provides the most challenging elements of the course from the rolling undulations to the elevated tees and greens. You'll encounter numerous doglegs as well as a few blind approaches. The postage stamp-sized greens can be especially tricky. They are faster than they seem and have subtle breaks where you wouldn't expect. From the back tees, the golf course will test even the most seasoned golfer, however, FoxCreek has a nice balance of tough and player-friendly holes with plenty of variety. Your score will depend more on how creatively you utilize your shot making skills rather than on sheer strength or distance.

Golfer Reviews
Usually a fun course to play. Mix of challenging and forgiving holes with a nice layout and elevation changes. Last round I played was ridiculously slow. Tee sheet seemed overbooked. Had a 9:50 tee time and first tee was backed up with 8-10 carts. Did not tee off until 10:15, then proceeded to wait at least 8-10 minutes every shot. 5 1/2 hour round. Longest round I have ever played. No starter or course attendants to monitor play. Value just not there anymore.
Unique course
Challenging layout due to extremely small greens, some holes with elevation change and some hole you need to hit to certain spots off the tee or you’re blocked but very very fun. Definitely good value so I’m going back!
Challenging course
Great layout. No two holes the same. Condition of fairways and greens average to better than average. Will play again this year.
so much lost potential
Exceptional layout. Challenging fast greens.
No amentities. Declining details. Needs a commitment to upkeep and investment.
Could be a gem but course looks hungover and tired Tee boxes and fairways need work. No clubhouse to speak of
The course has everything, wide and narrow holes, hitting off bluffs,
The course in very nice shape except for a lot of the greens. Some are very marred which makes putting difficult, also the play was very slow. I’d go back because it’s a difficult and it’s a nice course.
Gesse infestation
If you want to hit every ball into geese poop, or a flock of the nasty birds, you have found the best course to play. The course is in poor shape, due to the geese eating everywhere. The greens are pockmarked. The pace of play for us today was so slow, they really needed a ranger. By the time we got to number 16 four two sometimes were waiting together for a foursome that had played that way all day. I like the staff and the course, but for the price this is no longer worth it.
