decent for the price
Rangers would be better served to move players to keep pace of play instead holding conversations.
Greens are in great shape, fairways coming along but an investment in sand for bunkers would be nice.
good time
course was in good shape except the greens were unusually slow which is not normally the case here, strange!!
The greens were in great shape
Great value, challenging back nine. I like the practice facilities.
Great value poor pace
The course was great through the first 9. I had a 4PM tee time and by the time we hit the turn at 11-14 there was a huge back up. Took about 20-30 minutes per hole. Got to 15 at 8pm.... Teed off and the ambassador made us pick up and get off the course. Upset he didn't let us knish the hole at least. Poor tee time and start management. Should have easily finished my round if it wasn't for the poor pace of play. Course was in good shape tho for the value of the rate. Greens needed some work but it was a rough winter so I give the greens keepers the benefit of the doubt. All in all I would recommend the course but try to get a earlier tee time.
Beautiful course
First time panting course but I was paired with a regular there. The fairways and rough we're challenging but well kept. Tee boxes and greens definitely need some work and they were uneven and the greens were very difficult to judge adding 1-2 putts due to unevenness and rough patches driving up the score a little bit. Overall pleased for the price and very friendly staff with no delays or waiting for tee off.
Good overall course
Good overall course, played well and had good challenges. For a public course the fees seemed a bit high.
Been a while but will be back
We really enjoyed the course, great condition, nice pace and a good challenge for the group.
Priced Accordingly
I've played this track 5 or 6 times over the last few years and every time it seems to be in that 2.5 out of 5 range. The layout is unique and somewhat challenging from the furthest tee's, however the greens are always below average and so are the fairway conditions. You get what you pay for here though as rates are typically in line with what you'd expect based on conditions. Great course for a group with varying skill levels.
great course
however it would be helpful if they told you that the greens were just aerated. putting was atrocious.
Nice layout but very beat up track
Was in the mood to play a new course. Course did appear to be aerated before play but somewhat neglected overall. I only paid $22 via savings so I can't complain too much. Fairways seemed seeded by other grasses and weeds but trimmed. Greens were slow and bumpy. Bunkers weren't too bad but I've seen better. There was heavy rain the two days before. Fun track. A shell of a course that seemed like it once had a heyday. Unlikely I'd go back even for $22.
Not Bad
I play this course very often and usally pace of play is an issue, but on this day, and for a Sunday morning, pace of play was exceptional. Actually finished the round in exactly 4 hours. Conditions were average, greens were speedy on this day. Always get a good deal on golfnow.com
Very slow Play
The winter must not have been good to this course. The green were choppy and the fairways had spotty grass. Took 5 1/2 hours to play and never saw a Marshal to move things along.
One and done
Came into the course with a eager feeling to test out a legendary architect's layout. What I found was a severe dissapointment. Maintenance was atrocious, seems like I was punished for putting the ball on the fairway, which had more craters than the moon. This problem became enhanced once you realized that the greens were patchy and very fast. I didnt mind the speed if the approach shots didn't come from the the horrible patchy conditions and only held part time. The course itself " could " be enjoyable though, with some major overhauls.. One par 3 requires a shot through power cables. Either way I won't recommend this course to anyone but if someone else is eager enough to try, the price is right (under 20$) and are out of options give it a shot maybe the conditions will improve..
Must Play
I played on a holiday weekend so the pace was slow. When my foursome came in from the front nine the club staff apologized for the slow play. They were very sorry and gave us free passes to play at our convenience. The course conditions were great. Always a great day!
5 1/2 hours, come on!!!!
To long for a round of golf. Course seem to be over crowed, waited on every hole sometime ten min. The round took 5 1/2 hours. I played this course a few times and never had this long of a round.
Almost always in good shape + Value
I have played here many times over the last 20 years. In the last 4 or 5 years I think the course has improved. The greens are always decent, the fairways average, and rough just OK. The driving range is right next to the 1st tee, so if you are early, you can warm up. I would not say it is special, but you really can't go wrong. It is sneaky challenging.

Teed off 6:10am just a little dark and had a nice 3 hr round
Maybe it was just too early in the season...
I grew up playing this course. 20 years ago, I played 6 or 7 days a week. Maybe it was just too early in the season after a harsh winter, but the course was in bad shape. The greens were splotchy. The fairways word decent but not as smooth as I would expect. The rough and tree lines were very well maintained. That might be the biggest upside. The staff was friendly enough, the food was basic snack food. Overall, it was not worth $45.00 per person. The nicest thing I can say is that the recently repaired cart paths were in great shape. Maybe it was just missed all Jeff, and the reality set in, but I walked away disappointed. At least I played well,
Getting ready for the season
The course was a bit beat up, but this is probably the first week it hasn't seen snow since January and the first week it's been open. I like this course. Both 9's are very different and challenging. I know it will be in better shape in the Spring, and you can tell they are putting money into the course. There have been some needed cart path repairs done recently and they have removed and pruned some trees. It's cart path only for now, but you have to appreciate them keeping you off the grass this time of year to let it fill in for the season.

It's actually the tee shot on hole #8 (the par 3 is hole#7) that you have to hit through power lines (I've hit the lines on at least 3 occasions).
