Brown's Run Country Club
About
Brown's Run Country Club in Middletown offers a championship layout that stretches to just over 6,830 yards. The team of William and Brian Gordon, brothers who have designed more than 85 golf courses all over the U.S., designed Brown's Run in 1958. It has a classic layout that is gentle enough for beginners, but it is an enjoyable round no matter what skill level. There are a few strategically placed sand traps throughout the golf course, which make up for the absence of water. The design is pretty straightforward although there are a few slight doglegs to watch out for. In addition to the challenging but playable design, the course boasts some of the finest fairways and greens in the area. Brown's Run also offers other amenities including an Olympic-size pool and four lighted tennis courts.

Excellent course.
Conditions were excellent. Course was challenging with the greens. They were lightening fast. Will definitely be back. Great value!
Great Old Course
Course has the older feel. Very mature trees and tighter fairways. Challenging but fair. Course condition was very good and the greens were in great shape with some speed. Look forward to playing again.

Great course great staff will play as often as it is on golfnow. Hope they could add more times
Thank your for your excellent review! Come back again soon!
Expected better!
Knowing that this was a previous private course I expected it to resemble that a little. The layout is fantastic. But with foot tall dandelions on tee boxes was a bit disappointing. And bare spots everywhere. $55 is a bit much for this place. Also if you enjoy a few cold brews don't play on Sunday. Overall it was okay. Just not what I expected
Best kept secret
Browns Run is a great value for some of the best greens in SW Ohio. The fairways were in great shape, I was happy to see the tee boxes were temporary- letting the regular tee boxes rest/heal (they were a bit rough last year).
Overall great time
Tee boxes, bunkers, and fairways are making a comeback, but the greens make up for it. Great course. Definitely recommend.
Having played this course several years ago, the current course conditions have fallen off dramatically.
Bunkers receive no attention, edges of fairways are not defined, and it’s now become a $25 course!
Nice relaxed day! All staff was outstanding
Very slow day on course. Weather was not ideal, but we had a great time. The sabd traps needed a little work but overall the course was great. They did communicate that they had a few holes with temp. Tee boxes because they were working on them.. we are not speed golfers and we hate being rushed, and Today was perfect. Thank you everyone for a very good experience. We will be back
Great Time
Everything was great. When we played, it was probably earlier than most people would like to get out due to it being a little cooler, but we were itching to play. I thought the course was in great shape and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Wonderful afternoon golf outing!
Wonderful afternoon golf outing! My golf partner and I enjoyed 18 holes on a Tuesday afternoon 66° with a mild breeze. Conditions couldn’t have been better and there was no crowd! The greens were in excellent condition we like the Bent grass fairways and I guess our only negative on the course was the lack of sand in the bunkers. If they would drop a nice pile of whites in each one of the bunkers instead of the river sand they got in there this course would be top notch! One of the better rounds of golf and courses in the Miami Valley!
Could be so much better
I played Brown's Run for the first time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in late March. Got off to a bad first impression when I went in the pro shop and only one out of 3-4 staffers was wearing a mask. The fairways were dormant but in decent shape, the greens were pretty slow and bumpy -- to be expected in late March. But the tees and traps were horrible -- mold in the traps, so they clearly hadn't been raked in forever, and the tees were in awful shape. Also, the men's restroom had a pile of leaves inside the door, as if no one had bothered to pick up a broom all winter.
The layout was good, so I'm going to give them another try in a few months, But for $40-$50 for 18 and a cart, I'll expect a lot of improvement.
I Enjoyed the day at BRCC
Tees in rough shape but greens rolled true. Some bare spots in Fairway but overall a good price and good value
Great!
Loved it! Friendly staff, nice layout, strong country club feel to the course, greens were in great shape. Highly recommended
Kind of depressing but kind of nice
reminds me of Beckett Ridge CC in West Chester. You can tell it was a nice place. Definitely want to come back when the leaves are on the trees.
Greens were nice for time of the year. Rest of course was good. Pace was fantastic
Thank you for recognizing how great the course conditions are! We look forward to your next round with us!
