Brown's Run Country Club
About
Brown's Run Country Club in Middletown offers a championship layout that stretches to just over 6,830 yards. The team of William and Brian Gordon, brothers who have designed more than 85 golf courses all over the U.S., designed Brown's Run in 1958. It has a classic layout that is gentle enough for beginners, but it is an enjoyable round no matter what skill level. There are a few strategically placed sand traps throughout the golf course, which make up for the absence of water. The design is pretty straightforward although there are a few slight doglegs to watch out for. In addition to the challenging but playable design, the course boasts some of the finest fairways and greens in the area. Brown's Run also offers other amenities including an Olympic-size pool and four lighted tennis courts.

Wonderful afternoon golf outing!
Wonderful afternoon golf outing! My golf partner and I enjoyed 18 holes on a Tuesday afternoon 66° with a mild breeze. Conditions couldn’t have been better and there was no crowd! The greens were in excellent condition we like the Bent grass fairways and I guess our only negative on the course was the lack of sand in the bunkers. If they would drop a nice pile of whites in each one of the bunkers instead of the river sand they got in there this course would be top notch! One of the better rounds of golf and courses in the Miami Valley!
Could be so much better
I played Brown's Run for the first time on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in late March. Got off to a bad first impression when I went in the pro shop and only one out of 3-4 staffers was wearing a mask. The fairways were dormant but in decent shape, the greens were pretty slow and bumpy -- to be expected in late March. But the tees and traps were horrible -- mold in the traps, so they clearly hadn't been raked in forever, and the tees were in awful shape. Also, the men's restroom had a pile of leaves inside the door, as if no one had bothered to pick up a broom all winter.
The layout was good, so I'm going to give them another try in a few months, But for $40-$50 for 18 and a cart, I'll expect a lot of improvement.
I Enjoyed the day at BRCC
Tees in rough shape but greens rolled true. Some bare spots in Fairway but overall a good price and good value
Great!
Loved it! Friendly staff, nice layout, strong country club feel to the course, greens were in great shape. Highly recommended
Kind of depressing but kind of nice
reminds me of Beckett Ridge CC in West Chester. You can tell it was a nice place. Definitely want to come back when the leaves are on the trees.
Greens were nice for time of the year. Rest of course was good. Pace was fantastic
Excellent layout
I really enjoyed the course layout it’s a really fun place to play. Many of the fairways were in really good shape for the fall. All the greens were excellent. However some of the fairways were a little burnt out. Although it looks like they’re trying to improve the course so that’s a plus.
Really nice
Really enjoyed this course, most of the course was in great shape, couple of tee boxes were pretty rough but that was ok

Great lay out. The course in late summer condition, even though first week of October.
Tee boxes aerated, but overall, would definitely play again.
With Covid, would be not be fair to judge off-course amenities.
Browns Run
I want to give the review as bad so none else will play there, but I can't. best secret courses around
Get what you pay for
Tees were awful - fairways were suspect - greens were good - greens may be the only thing they are watering
