Brown's Run Country Club
About
Brown's Run Country Club in Middletown offers a championship layout that stretches to just over 6,830 yards. The team of William and Brian Gordon, brothers who have designed more than 85 golf courses all over the U.S., designed Brown's Run in 1958. It has a classic layout that is gentle enough for beginners, but it is an enjoyable round no matter what skill level. There are a few strategically placed sand traps throughout the golf course, which make up for the absence of water. The design is pretty straightforward although there are a few slight doglegs to watch out for. In addition to the challenging but playable design, the course boasts some of the finest fairways and greens in the area. Brown's Run also offers other amenities including an Olympic-size pool and four lighted tennis courts.

Great course
If you like playing cousre with a lot of doglegs then this is your course. This course was in great condition. Also there are no water hazards.
How Have I Lived in the Area 27 Years and Never Played Here?
The title says it all. Great conditions, good price, more challenging than it appears at first glance. Don't take too much club on 18.
Hidden Gem
I had heard good things about this course and was thrilled when I actually got to play it. Course was in excellent shape and has a really nice layout. Greens were a little slow but that is really just nit-picking. Definitely will go back and play again sometime!
Slowest round ever
Course was ok except traps are terrible. Pace of play was a ridiculous 5 hr 20 min with NO RANGER. Long drive from Cincinnati to be disappointed. I would not recommend playing this course.
Rangers
The course was cart path only it was clearly posted when you checked in. Multiple groups were driving off the path. Would really appreciate a ranger or common courtesy so a beautiful course can stay beautiful all season long
Well managed
First time playing, very well managed facility and pace of play, enjoyed myself and will be back at a later point in time.
Very nice course…I will be back
First time at Brown’s Run. Won’t be my last. Super friendly staff and a challenging layout. Course was in excellent shape.
Beautiful Course
I’ve always wanted to play an Arthur Hills Country Club course. Majority of them were at one point in time private, now made public. The course was 4/5. The clubhouse is nice, the staff is young. I enjoyed the challenging greens. I was on pace for birdie/par but found myself 2-3 putting. Overall I’d definitely play Browns Run again. I love the history behind the course, the designers are well known. The pace of play was the only thing that I didn’t like. Some holes it was quiet and relaxed, others it felt rushed. They also don’t have starters on the course which is very odd for how well kept of a course it is.
Great for ladies!
Love this course! It was in great shape for how dry it has been. It's very enjoyable for ladies and the people there are friendly.
Great Course!
Really enjoyed playing here. Course was in pretty good shape. Tees, fairways, & greens were all lush. Greens rolled a good speed too, and had just enough undulation to make them a little challenging. Definitely going back!
Old memories
We were members for over 15 years and the course conditions were close to the hey day of this club staff friendly and thourghly enjoyed our day
