I have played the course before when it was being build much better.

THE FRONT NINE IS THRU A HOUSING DEVELOPMENT.
VERY WIDE FAIRWAYS.
BACK NINE IS NARROW AND TREE LINED. LIKE PLAYING
2 DIFFERENT COURSES.

After two days of heavy rain the course held up nicely and was in great condition. Most bunkers were wet, some were even flooded, although those were being pumped out as we played. We were fortunate enough to avoid the flooded bunkers. Greens and fairways were soft, but in great condition considering the amount of recent rain. The soft condition just made the course play longer, but since the course was in good shape the softness did not pose any major issues. This is a fun course that poses enough of a challenge for all skill levels and yet under drier conditions, would even be more challenging should your ball bounce or roll off the fairways.

Worth the price and close to home. Would golf here regularly

The staff was friendly, the breakfast sandwich was excellent, and we were allowed to tee off before our tee time. We did follow a 5 some on the back nine but we moved along pretty good. The course was in good shape.

I enjoyed plating this course. It seems wide open, but as soon as you mishit there is a hazard. I will def go back and play again. evenwith the 45 min drive.

A sand salesman needs to visit the course and sell them some of his product for the traps

Nice course for the average golfer....some challenging holes while also being fairly forgiving off the tees. Need to do something about the Canada geese on the 17th (?) hole.they completely made a mess of the green as well as the approach area.
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience .

We played 16 holes before the storm coming through. We enjoyed the challenge of this golf course very much.

If you love sand, you may have to wait, since bunkers are under repair. Greens are rolling smooth and are in great shape. More heather than previous years,

The price was ok, I didn't enjoy the play because it was raining and a rain check would have been nice. Yardage marks that are visible can also be handy.

The greens are always very true and well maintained. Rough was trimmed so at you could find your ball if you hit slightly offline.

One of the course maintenance guys mowing the rough came up on our tee and didn't have the courtesy to turn the motor off. That was the only downside. Otherwise I would have rated excellent.

round was longer because we caught rain for 4 holes. could use a ranger in the afternoon to speed up slow play. Bunkers are being improved.

It was cart path only when we played but that was due to the weather which no one can control. All the sand traps were unplayable with standing water but the greens were still fast and held long irons. I've played there many times and always enjoy playing there.

The traps could use attention, Sand types are different on different holes. Traps need to have sandpro run regularly instead of wet tracked up mud. Greens are fantastic, Fairways are nice. Staff is friendly. Irons only range is a drawback. Worth playing regardless because of greens.

course was in good shape.. greens were tough.. but balls moved quickly towards the hole. If line was right... ball sunk..

This course has quite a few problems.

1) Even though it hasn't rained in days, the sand traps were all un-playable. Not sure if on almost every hole the sprinklers were broken, but the sand traps were under repair or had a lot of standing water in them.

2) They couldn't even provide a starter even though they were trying to pair up 2-somes and such.

3) There was a 2 some in front of us playing quite slow. So slow in fact that we were waiting on them every hole. I was playing with a 3 some, and there was a 3 some behind us. On hole 5, we were sitting in the fairway waiting to hit, when wouldn't you know it, there is a ball that goes flying past us 30 feet in the air. Couldn't believe this, but yes, it was intentional. How do I know, the group never once apologized and no one could yell a simple "four!". To hit into someone and say you didn't know you could hit it that far is one thing, but when you hit past them by 30 yards and don't yell four, it's intentional and dangerous. We called the club house, because there is no marshall or anything on the course, and they blew it off basically. They came out finally and talked to the group, but they didn't do anything! UGH! Frustrating! The group still never apologized, and the guy didn't try to speed up play by letting the 3 somes play past the slow two some. The groups actions of hitting into us was uncalled for, the course's response was negligent at best.

4) When we asked for a refund on hole #5 because of this, it was not granted, we were forced to play with these conditions. Finally, we just left at hole #9, no refund given.

The front nine is pretty open with wide fairways. A slice on holes 4,5 or 6 will put your ball into a house or yard. The back nine has tighter fairways with a little more water involved on possibly 4 holes.

A fun corse with great fairways and large fantastic, smooth, fast greens. A pleasuring challenge to putt on. Bunkers are in need of work.

Cumberland Trail has some of the best greens in the area. The course was in excellent condition. It is an excellent track with diverse holes. Course has generous fairways and is mostly open with a few tight holes. The only downside was the bunkers varied quite a bit with the amount and texture of the sand.
