Golfer Reviews
course is in great condition
I love cumberland trail. It is only ten minutes from my house which is great and the course is always well maintained. I would like to see the driving range open. The last few times ive been there the range was closed and the weather was good.
foster
It was a good round and the pace of play was my only concern, over five hours to complete the round, waited on every hole, however relaxed and took my time and did not mind because I was in no hurry.
Great value/conditions considering weather
Played here yesterday... Course was in excellent condition consider the recent weather challenges. Greens were extremely soft which surprised me since I've heard they run very fast... My home course's greens are much faster as of today but the greens were in great shape so can't knock them too much. Overall....fun little course, had challenging holes but by and large rewarded well targeted shots.
Bunkers weren't maintained yet and pace of play was an issue (tee'd off after 3pm Sunday!), but this is a borderline 5 star for me. If we wouldn't have jumped a couple groups at the turn and skipped the halfway house we would've had a nearly 5 hr round.
Bottom line...solid course and I'll definitely be back, especially at very competitive golf now prices!
Sand trap needs a lot of work!!!!
green was big, fast and well maintained.
Hole # 12 was very challenging so was hole #16.
Greens Great Shape For Early Spring
The fairways, tee boxes and greens were in good condition for early spring. I wish golfers would repair more of their divots so I could rate the course in pristine shape.
Great conditions
One of the nicest conditioned public course in the central Ohio. Usually fastest greens around the area. It has nice mix of holes and never disappoints.
Pretty good course
I got a super discounted rate, so I felt like it was a good deal. I may have felt differently if I had paid the regular rate. Course was in good shape, most of the greens rolled really well, with a couple of exceptions. I would definitely play again, for a discounted rate.
Sunday April 7, 2013
Course was pretty rough for CT. Typically this time of year the greens there are really good, but this year not so much. Bumpy and slow, probably need rolled and cut. Great layout always. Pins were on a lot of crests and high spots which made the bumpy putting even more fun.
Very Nice and challenging
play got slow and started to stack up....a marshall I think is needed to keep slow play going.... people should only look so long for a ball..... they sell balls @ Walmarts....
Nice Course
Course was in great shape especially for the second week of November! Always a tough course (but fair) so you will need to bring your A-Game!!! LOL!
6 hour rounds and a staff that lied to me
I like the course but I'll never play it again. I played at Cumberland once last year and left the course on hole #12 because the pace of play. So before I booked this time I called and asked if they had outtings today. I was told NO. So i book tee times. They had 2 outtings going on. I had to leave again on hole #12 (4 hours to get that far). Saddley 6 hr rounds have become common but dont lie to your customers.
Good course, you must all clubs.
Course was very wet due to receiving 4.5 inches of rain and carts had to be kept on cart paths which resulted in a fair amount of walking. Not a big deal for us, but an older gentleman did tell us he was worn out from all the walking, I guess him to be in his 70's.
Greens had been heavily fertilized and had to putt thru the fertilized but not bad. Course played very long due to the wet condition. One of my favorite courses. Well kept up, challenging, and requires shotmaking. I don't like that you have to give a middle or very high score and there is no room in between.
Cumberland Trail
Cumberland Trail overall was a wonderful experience.
great course
great course, back 9 much tougher than front 9. Greens were cut nice and short and rolled great
