About
Named after a native American word for maple forest, Manakiki Golf Course's defining feature is the abundance of maple trees that line the winding fairways. The course is a classic Donald Ross design. He incorporated a variety of challenges including tricky doglegs, water hazards, up-and-down holes, and two canyon holes. The holes themselves also cover a range from short to long and tight to open. Golfers should prepare themselves for a bevy of uneven lies, but the dramatic elevation changes also guarantee some scenic views throughout the golf course. There are also sand traps but their placement and number were thoughtfully considered to make Manakiki G.C. challenging but still playable. It is popular for this reason but also because it is one of the best rounds in northeast Ohio you can find for under $50.

Fun course
Nice fun course with rolling hills and greens.

Welcome Back - 9 Holes
Used to frequently play Manakiki Golf course many years ago. I forgot how nice a golf course it is and with so many picturesque holes. It was a pleasure to experience again.
Greed over safety
Charging an extra $7 per golfer to have an Individual cart to follow the social distancing guidelines to prevent the spreed of the COViD virus is simply irresponsible and encouraging the incorrect behaviors.
Unbelievable. Play it if you care about golf at all.
This course didn't deserve me. Honestly, it's not only kept at the top of it's possible quality, but the design is... Oh my... If your game can handle the shots your required to hit than you'll be mesmerized. If not then just getting to walk the course is enough enjoyment.
Really Good Golf Course
Course was in great shape today. Had great weather today. Very good challenge of golf. Greens roll great. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Good mixture of tight driving holes and holes that can let loose of the tee. Really good test of golf
New Experiences
Simply put, although first time playing, I felt this course embodies the very essence of golf and what is required from you as a competitor, Nice.
Great course
Course is in perfect condition. Aalot of rolling hills. Some water to contend with. Bunkers in fairways and around most greens

Classic Donald Ross course. The CLE Metroparks have it in great shape and staff was great!
Rough
Rough was high because of wet conditions, I understand that but because there was numerous twosomes behind us always felt rushed. Really hard to find semi plugged balls in high rough. Not everyone hits it down the middle, even 1st cut was high
What a fabulous course!
Manakiki is a great course with a fantastic layout. So many twists & turns with a ton of elavation changes. Very beautiful course. The rough was extremely difficult because the person who cuts it couldn't work on the holiday weekend because he's a union worker, but once it gets cut down a bit, it will be much more fair as far as playability. Also, there isn't a driving range (unless you bring your own balls) so that's a drawback. All in all, it's a must play course!
Pretty course
Course was very nice,, only complaint would be the rough was really high and needed to be mowed. Tight course.
An excellent demonstration of what a public course should be.
Always impressed by the hard work done by the Manakiki crew to keep the course looking great. From the looks of the early rounds this year will be no exception. Pace of play is the only improvement I would ask from the management team. During a busy weekend rounds can slow down - although it is worth saying that this course does not experience the same sudden halt during busy times that I have seen at other public courses! I always recommend my friends check out Manakiki when looking for a track in the area.
Course in fair condition for early season and recent rains. Greens fees are way to high!!!
Greens were slow but that is to be expected. fairways were decent but rough was extremely deep...but again with the rain that is to be somewhat expected. Staff was friendly. Cost to golf there are excessive.
