Gorgeous day, challenging but forgiving course.
I am very happy that I chose this course for the one day I was in Bend and able to play. The layout rolls through old lava fields that have since grown over with low brush and juniper trees. You get maximum sun and expansive views, it's not a hill course in the pines. Fairways are wide and easy to read shot placement. Greens hold approach shots but breaks are difficult to read. Overall the course is very challenging yet very forgiving. Staff were very friendly and helpful.. This is a walkable course. I highly recommend this course and would happily play here again.
Well manicured.
My wife and I enjoyed playing Juniper. Course conditions were excellent, the weather was excellent, and even the fellow they paired us up with a very nice guy. Plays a bit challenging from the Green tees for there are a few blind shots, but once you learn the course it would probably be easier. I've played here a few times now and always enjoy it greatly.
Lovely course
A beautiful day, great course conditions, greens nice and fast, rolling well even though it appears they were plugged a couple of weeks ago.
Great facility, when you finally find it!
Enjoyed playing this course. It was a challenge to find, our GPS sent us all over the place, so make sure you plan ahead and get there early. There is a great practice area, didn't see the chipping area until we rounded from 9 to 10, wish I had seen that earlier. The course was in fine shape, a cart is probably a good idea, there was a need for it. The fairways and greens were in good shape, fast and sometimes difficult to read, but they had some challenging pin placements that day. The Cart Girl was around regularly, nice option. Didn't have time to check out the 19th hole. I would go back again, it was a pretty good deal considering the neighbouring courses were a tad bit more expensive. Golf in Oregon isn't as economical as in Phoenix...
Juniper Golf Course
Great layout. Challenging with ample opportunity to use every club in the bag. Great for players of all abilities. Will definitely play this course again.
Nice track, a bit bland at times
This is a fun track to play that overall is in good shape and a fair test of your golfing ability and worth the play. The course tends to get a bit redundant and seems like one hole is like the next at times. I paid $28 at 4:30, and got 14 holes in. Was a fair deal and is a solid play. Would definitely play again if I had the chance.
Very nice course,beautiful seanery
I really enjoyed this course. In the area for a week and checking out some local courses, but already decided to try and get back to Juniper
Could only play the back nine
Golf Now should have been updated on the course conditions. The course was punching the front nine which made in only possible to play the back nine they just punched the back nine the day before. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. We thought we were getting a great deal then find out it was cheaper if we would have just went to the course the found was four dollars cheaper in person and no booking fees.
Consistent
We try to play Juniper once each year when on vacation in Central Oregon. The course is in consistently good condition, and this year was no different. Quick, true greens; well manicured fairways, and fair rough. On this course, accuracy is more important than distance, so consistency is important. With a frost delay backing things up a bit, finished in 4:20.
Great Course - Great condition
Every time I go to central Oregon I play this course. Good challenge, pace of play is good, great greens, exceptional fairways and the condition of the course is always outstanding. Some elevation change may make it a challenge for some to walk. My only complaint about this course is their pull carts. They are the from the 1950's! Such a shame for such a nice track. Therefore bring your own pull cart or take a power cart. Driving Range and pro shop are somewhat small. Good 19th hole outdoor seating. Tends to get a little breezy in the afternoon but nothing to be concerned about. Play it once and you'll be back for more!
5 pm tee time
Signed as single but grouped with threesome.
Had nice round but darkness ended the day on 16
15 should of been the end but 16 ends at clubhouse.
We finished 15 in 3 hours 10 min. It was dark. Could not see our tee shots after 8 pm. If planning on 18 you need to be off at 4 pm if in threesome of foursome. Single or double could still make it
With cart. Nice course enjoyed the round.
Must Play
The Bend-Redmond area has a lot of nice golf courses. This one is at the top of my list. Beautiful from tee to green. No houses is an added bonus. I'll be playing this course every time I visit Bend, OR.
Great day of golf
Overall great day on the course! All three of us really enjoyed the course. It was the first time for two of us on this course.
how golf should be
The layout and variety of this course was only surpassed by the condition of the fairways. The course was both challenging and fair at the same time. The holes were creative and beautiful to look at. I will definitely play this course again when I am in the area. I enjoyed everything about this course.
Great high desert golf
Not flat but walkable. Best fairways and greens. It would be too good to be true except for hwy 97 road noise.
Fast greens
Played 3PM, 81degrees, light breeze. The fairways were lush and cut very even and though soft they had a lot of role as if they were hard and dry, so nice. good width and if ball stray into sagebrush you could find it fairly quick, though not always playable though. Greens were like a pool table very fast, 12+, and hard, couldn't keep a shot on them ,had to land early and hope to role up on and stop. I was not used to that, but it was a welcome change from where I usually play, it was nice to see what the pros deal with. I definitely will play here more often.
Best Public Pay to Play in CO
Juniper is the place to play in Central Oregon. The course is always in great shape, the staff is happy and helpful, and the price is fair.
Very Enjoyable
Very plush fairway, considering a drought in the area. Excellent layout. Varying tees for range of golfers. Late afternoon was a great rate and value for the price. Great pace of play after the second hole where we were able to play through, we were all alone. It took about 3 1/2 hrs.
Great value.
I played this course for $20 from golf now. This is one of the better courses in central Oregon.
A nice challenging course. New combo tees
Drive a couple of hours to play this course 2/3 times per year. New scorecard shows 5/6 different combination of tees to fir whatever yardage you wish to play. Mounds of lava rocks makes errant shots hard to find.
