South Shore Golf Course

Been playing here for over 30 years, today I shot 72 from the white tees at 61 years old. 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.

Haven’t played here since last year and was very impressed of the greens and fairways. Best I’ve seen the greens ever.

Beautiful!! 12th green is still nearly unputtable with those hornets or whatever they are. Also 11th green is burnt out.

Nice course. I’ve played it a few times. This day there were several aerated greens that were bad. Somewhere along the line we should have been warned. If you aerate in the summer, give a few dollars off of your round.

Once upon a time, South Shore was the beauty on the island, it was forgiving , easy to play with, comforting when you were depressed over a poor hit ... a perfect mate.

Then suddenly was attracted to by parties from the event hall, every weekend was abused. It suddenly became ugly.

But now, after many years, shes in rehab, her inner beauty has returned

Feel good to play, forgiving rough, challenging greens, hilly fairways with both left and fight bends for shot shaping.... I play 18 here around our. Trust me, I'm not a great golfer, a 9 handicap,. But after a bad round elsewhere, South Shore mentally grounds any frustrations I may have

Still in great shape, always bring tended to.

One groundskeeper cut 2 greens too low. Then the 100° temperatures hit, burning them.

Being aeratedand seeded. Needs 7-10 days and will be fixed

Accidents happen

Still amazed at the overall condition. Best in over a decade

Played the back 9. Hole 14 was damaged probably by the local neighborhood kids that have nothing to do with themselves. The flag was laying down and I thought someone just forgot to put it back. Turns out the cup was ripped out, otherwise the course conditions were fair.

Need to space out tee times. 2 and 3 foursome are ganged up at tee boxes. Needs a ranger to ensure movement. Too much time spent looking for balls and players leaving cart 40 yards behind then walking back to change clubs. Just play ready golf. 11, 12 and 14th greens are pretty beat up already. Putting is not really feasible. Love the layout. Those greens are always trouble once the summer comes.

Best ive seen this course in a long time. Tons of rain has led to great conditions.

Pace of play is generally slow
